A flat tire is bound to happen to any driver anytime. Once on the safe spot, one should park the car and engage the parking brakes. He or she should then place the reflective triangles behind the car if he is changing from the road to ensure safety. The next thing is to place the wheel wedges against the tires that are opposite the flat tires and go ahead to remove the wheel cover if the car has some. At this point, one should then loosen the lug nuts with the lug wrench. Immediately after loosening the lug nuts, one should place the jack under the car and near the flat tire and expand it (jack) using the hands until the wheel is raised above the ground. With the flat tire raised, unscrew the lug nuts and remove them, and subsequently, remove the flat tire from the hub. Pick the spare tire and align it to the now exposed lug bolts. Once well aligned, replace the lug nuts and tighten using the hands. At that point, lower the jack until the when touches the ground and then begin tightening the nuts with the wrench.
