In reference to my professional development, the following initiatives will be taken on my part for further advancement and experience. It will be a privilege to join the American Business Women’s Association in the future, because ABWA is a bold league joined together for the promotion of people in business, not just women (ABWA). A conference that I will attend other than the conference held by ABWA, is the annual Technology, Entertainment, and Design Conference, because it will be a worthwhile and inspiring venture, despite the $6,000 fee (TED). My preference of a business weekly, or bi-weekly in this case, would feature articles on business and other related material. My choice is Forbes Magazine (Forbes). Apart from these choices, there are several other venues of interest, but these three are of specific interest to me at the time.
My choices are relevant to my interests. I chose the American Business Women’s Association as a group of interest because I have noted that the have a sense of responsibility not only for one aspect of the business world, but also how women can join together and work for common causes in the areas where progress is necessary (ABWA). I know that this will be a key move for my growth as an entrepreneur, for the aforementioned reasons. The Technology, Entertainment and Design Conference has always been of interest to me since I have interest in all three facets of the conference, because it seems to be the place for gathering to talk solutions for the issues that need to be expressed (TED). Finally, I have an interest in Forbes magazine because it is an ideal inspiration for me and inspires me to be at the level where I should be in the field of business and ownership (Forbes).
