Project Scope
The project scope has the main objective of updating the payroll software application at Home Sweet Home, Inc. After careful consideration of the customer’s requirements, the old payroll system and the availability of new applications a software package has been chosen. The deliverable will include an integrated payroll and Human Resource Management (HRM) system that will allow access to both employer and employees. Key passwords will be assigned so each person using the system can only access the appropriate portion of the data. The payroll will include a direct bank deposit option for the employees. Job openings in the company will be available for the employees to review and they will be able to track their training and workshop activities. Employees will have easy access to their benefits packages so they can make any changes or review the information whenever they wish.
Customer Requirements
The customer has requested a modern streamlined easy-to-use payroll system that will integrate smoothly with a new HRM database that meets the requirements of the personnel department and has added improved uses for the employees. Employees will be able to find out about new job openings and will be able to more easily choose retirement packages and way to receive their pay. The customer expects savings to be made with the changes.
Statement of Work
A reliable and efficient Payroll system will be implanted at Home Sweet Home, Inc. The new Payroll system will be integrated with a new Human Resources database system in order to meet the requirements of the order. The project will finish in six months.
Project Deliverables
1) An integrated payroll and human resources Information Technology (IT) System
2) Total HRM Database information system
3) Training, workshop and in-house job opportunities tracking for HRM system in total
4) Reliable and efficient payroll system with automated check writing or pay downloaded into bank automatically
Criteria for Acceptance
There are testing criteria the payroll and HRM applications must meet for accuracy and compatibility. The database and database design must meet the requirements of the Sponsor, Project Manager and the IT Director. (a) Each milestone must include the required three signatures. (b) The IT Director is responsible for the network working properly, the good working order of database and final objective integration, and the IT quality assurance. The database meets the requirements of the final objective and the all privacy issues are satisfactorily solved. (c) The Home Sweet Home, Inc. HRM VP (sponsor) is responsible for reviewing with Project Manager, IT Director and HRM director that all the requirements are being met. (d) The Project manager is responsible for making sure the database meets the requirements of the final objective and the all privacy issues are satisfactorily solved. Must also make sure each milestone is usable. Must also make sure each milestone is usable. Also that the IT director agrees all IT requirements were met.

Project Management
Purpose: The deliverable will include an integrated payroll and Human Resource Management (HRM) system that will allow access to both employer and employees.
