The Digital Media Initiative (DMI) is a transformational project which has been designed specifically for the staff and partners of the BBC to create develop makes and share the videos content over the desktop. BBC would like to initiate a strong collaboration with Siemens to maintain the level of efficiency in the DMI project, and to present the project to the end users in an effective and organized manner. According to the project, BBC had faced some serious issues and problems while initiating the project with Siemens as far its management and deliverable is concerned. Lack of planning is one of the major problems associated with BBC while initiating this project that cost them £125.9 million (Michalis, 2012).
- Project scope:
The Project is all about providing the digital media initiatives to the general public. The project will empower BBC to make and present the visuals in an effective manner by considering the technological aspect in an effective manner. Videos are currently available in different formats. It is all about changing in pixels and picture quality, and BBC is trying to deliver the quality videos and audio contents to their customers with the collaboration with Siemens. The scope of the project is broad because people are now moving towards quality visuals and audios, and such organizations which are providing the quality audio and video content are more famous than the other companies.

The purpose of this project is to catering the target market in an effective manner. The main purpose of the project initiated by BBC for the Digital Media Initiative (DMI) is to apply the relevant technological standards. Apart from this, there is yet another purpose of the project which is to collaborate with Siemens effectively to provide the technological based digital media services to the people accordingly.

The objectives of project are to make such a transformation plan through which the company can provide technologically efficient videos and contents. It is likely to adopt a SMART objective tool for the analysis (Miller, R. & Côté, M. 2012).
Specific: The project specifically will look over the providence of quality content of videos and audios to the general public from which they can enjoy watching the videos and audios.
Measurable: The objectives of the project are measureable, however strong commitment and dedication is required from the management team and the employees of the company.
Achievable: Big media interaction companies like Fox News have already achieved the criteria to provide quality based video and audio content to their consumers, thus BBC also has the guts to achieve the same objective accordingly, and in a specific time frame.
Realistic: The project is realistic and has a strong practical vision in it, because of the change in the attitude of the individuals as far as watching the videos is concerned. BBC, which is one of the largest communication companies, has to comply with those initiatives and projects which have a practical implication with it. Otherwise, their sustainability in the industry will not be possible.
Timely: The level of competition is increasing in almost every industry of the world, thus providence of services with quality and in a limited time frame would be the only factor that can differentiate among a less and highly innovative company. BBC that already has a famous and renowned name in the technological and communication market has to complete the project in a perfect manner and in a limited time frame to have in a serious competition with its competitors.

Everything which an organization provides or wishes to provide to its customers are providing the information for their success. The success criterion of the project of BBC Digital Media Initiative (DMI) depends upon the fact that how effectively and timely the company can manage the digital videos and audio transformation accordingly. The core emphasize of the company is provide quality services to its customers, therefore the quantity control and assurance department should be given extra effectiveness particularly. It will be effective for the company, if they will use the same structure in future of this project

The procurement of the services would be effective; BBC would use their own warehouses for all the procurement and products. Different players would be hired for this particular department as well. The statement of work would be effective for their utilization

The contact should be controlled effectively with the help of compliance stance of shareholders and the companies particularly. Compliance with the regulatory authority would certainly help out the company to control and prevent the contract between BBC and Siemens in a perfect and organized manner. Apart from that the company should also initiate the centralized decision making stance to have a great decision making activity in the company for a certain time period with effectiveness.

By implementing all of the control and operations in the same manner, as described in the analysis, and then it will be certainly bring change for the company in the future.
