SECTION ONE: PROJECT INTRODUCTION
Executive summary
The project plan is aimed at enhancing successful construction of the residential home for the newlywed couple. The key aspects considered in the plan include the relevant quality inspectors, risk assessors and teams capable of collaborating in putting up an attractive and secure home. The plan incorporates the materials that will be needed for the whole process, both financial and physical resources as well as the human capital to ensure the construction process is a success. Constraints that could be involved in the process are also identified as well as the time schedule to enable contractors plan their work and ensure that the construction work is achieve within the stipulated time.
The purpose is to ensure that the couple has a secure and attractive home to live in for the rest of their lives. Since it is a dream home for the newlyweds, the plan aims to ensure that everything is put in pace to fulfill the desire of the couple.
Project objectives
The objectives to completion of the dream house within the stipulated time and with the amount of money set for its completion. The project also aims to ensure that the house will serve the couple for the years to come without need for extra expenditures on repairs and maintenance and the need for extensions.
Assumptions
The basic assumption is that there ought to be incorporated children’s rooms since it is obvious that at some point, the couple may want to add an extra member to the family. The other assumption is that there is need for consideration on the rooms for the visitors who may want to spend at the couple’s home as well as include a servant’s room within the perimeters of the home.
Constraints
The major constraint identified is interference from weather events such as rains during construction. Weather events such as rains interfere with the work of constructors and eventual extension of working period that then adds to the cost of operations as well as effects such as destruction of already constructed components. The other constraint includes financial limitations that could derail completion of the project within the projected period.
Project dependencies
The dependencies in the project include risk managers, quality assurance inspectors and human resource involved in construction process. The other dependencies include subcontractors who play a major role in supplying the resources required faster and at the desired prices and quality.
SECTION TWO: DETAILED PROJECT PLANNING
PROJECT SCOPE STATEMENT
Major work packages
Major work packages of the construction of the home include the planned value for the constructions with the estimated budget analyses to determine its relevance in the whole process. The other key work package is the analysis of the approved budget to identify if it is actually cap[able of meeting the desired output. Finally, the actual costs is also analyzed to determine the variation between the planned and actual costs involved in the whole process.
The project deliverables
The deliverables to be used in the construction include the plan for the dream home and the relevant documents showing the requirements in terms of materials, human resources involved in the process and additional requirements that are required to complete the construction process.
Out of scope items
The out of scope items include household items the couple may wish to purchase but which cannot be included in the construction process owing to the tastes of the couple. The other out of scope items include items such as the refrigerators and television sets that require the couple’s intervention.
Work Breakdown Structure
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
The requirements are documented in the construction plan with the various activities documented in details. The requirements for the construction of the home include; foundation and landscaping, outside task and inside task which call for different materials and teams. The foundation and landscaping plan involves all the relevant activities and resources that will be used in rough landscaping and final landscaping. The outside works include; building the roof and installing sidings while the internal tasks include; plumbing, mechanical installations, electrical installations and furnishing.
PROJECT ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
The project will only be accepted if it meets the standards from foundation, outside and internal tasks performed. This implies ability of the construction work to satisfy the couple and the quality assurance inspectors that electrical, plumbing, mechanical and furnishing tasks have been performed according to the standards initially set the other key consideration for acceptance is checking the effectiveness of the roof, sidings and the strength of the foundation.

SECTION THREE: PROJECT SUPPORTING PLANS
RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN
The steps to identify and assess the risk will depend on the type of risk in the construction process. Risks could have effects on the couple, the constructors and the inspectors. The couple could have to accept such risks as missed deadlines due to slowness, the other risks include risks of health and safety that lead to injuries for works and the inspectors. Depending on the gravity of the event, those that have adverse effects will be classified as high risks while those with minimal effects such as slight weather changes will be classified as low risks.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN
Quality Standards Specifications
The key task to consider include excavation of the foundation, building of the roof and electrical installations. These will require inspection by various professionals since they play a major role in ensuring the safety of the couples when they settle at their dream home. The foundation needs to be ne that makes the structure stable such that there are minimal interference in case of land shake ups. The roof is important since if not installed properly could lead to collapse hence causing harm. Electrical installation have to be carefully considered to prevent incidences of shock from live wires.
Quality Assurance Specifications
The quality metrics include the stability of the foundation in supporting the whole structure to avoid future collapse. The other aspects to consider is the installations put in place including electrical and plumbing works to ensure they are safe with less exposure to injuries for the couple. The roof is also important and needs to be carefully considered to be assured of long terms safety form the risks of collapse.
COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT PLAN
Project Stakeholders’ Communication Requirements
Five items identified from the WBS include; excavation foundation, landscaping, electrical installation, plumbing and inspection of relevant quality metrics. With stakeholders keen to ensure successful completion of the whole project, a need arises to ensure collaboration in sharing information on the progress of the project and joint consultations on ways to improve the process involved in the construction work.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN
Human Resource Requirements
The project will require plumbers, electricians and builders to be able to successfully complete the home. Plumbers will be required in laying out the pipes as well as carrying out any plumbing activities in the whole process. The electricians will be required to identify the key spots to lay out the electrical cables and put the switches as well as recommend the right materials for the process. The subcontractors will include the excavators to excavate the foundation, risk firms to assess the hazards that could limit safety of operations as well as suppliers to supply building materials such as cements, tiles and building stones.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES
Kickoff and Execution of Project Management Activities: There are additional activities to be included before project kick off which include; enforcing rules regarding conduct of workforce, agreeing on the payment procedures and payment amounts, working hours for subordinates, the signing of various documentation and discussing the plan in details. The additional activities are done in efforts to reduce conflicts when the project begins and hence avoid any disruptions to successful completion of the project.
Administrative Close-out Activities
Appreciating every stakeholder at took part in the whole project, ensuring that everything is in place including the project completion report as well as ensuring that all payments have been made to avoid issues with the parties involved in the construction efforts.
Project Close-out Activities
Ensuring there are no materials on site that could lead to injuries to the couple and their visitors, assessing the various areas to determine the extent to which the construction is satisfactory as well as informing teams members of any project that is ahead of them after completion of the dream, home. These are key project close out activities involved in the process.
Lessons Learned
There is need to set up funds to cater for emergency situations that result from cost overruns to be able to successfully continue with the project. There is need to ensure that everyone involved in the construction activities has the required protective equipment to avoid injuries to members. The other key lesson learnt is the need to compensate for lost time due to weather limitations and other aspects that slow operations.
