Effective communication is essential for the success of various business activities. Many organizations have implemented strategies geared towards enhancing effective communication among their employees and other key stakeholders (Jiang and Tahira 558). Some of the effective communication strategies include the implementation of modern communication technologies such as digital media as well as social media platforms (Lindberg 15). Personally, I experienced effective communication in a recent organizational presentation that was made by our Company’s CEO concerning certain vital organizational changes. The communication was characterized by the use of power-point presentations as well as an effective interaction between the presenter and the audience.
Efficacy of the Communication
One of the reasons the communication experience was effective is that it incorporated both visual and audio aspects presentation through power-point. In this regard, it enhanced the understanding of the audience concerning the planned organizational changes. This is critical for preparation of employees regarding the planned changes.
Besides, the communication was effective because it was characterized by effective interaction between the company CEO and workers. That is, the communication was characterized by existence of opportunities where workers and other key stakeholders could raise issues of concern. There was an effective feedback system; this ensured that the target audience was provided with clarification concerning the issues discussed, hence, improving their capacity to implement the planned changes.
The communication was effective because the information was relayed or disseminated in a comprehensible language. The Chief Executive Officer ensured that any new technical term associated with the planned organizational changes were adequately defined; this is important for the business as it enhances the understanding of the concerned stakeholders regarding the changes, hence, facilitating change implementation.
In summary, the recent organizational change presentation made by company CEO was effective because it incorporated both visuals and audio perspectives of communication. Besides, there was an effective feedback system that enhanced our understanding concerning the planned changes. Consequently, the language of presentation was comprehensive characterized by proper definition of new terms.
