Introduction
Economic globalization has brought about the interaction of people from all over the world. Therefore, whenever there is an economic crisis in one country, it could end up affecting the whole world. Global economic can, therefore, be stated to rely on one another. This fact means that communication between different countries is imperative. Communication and trade between nations can be observed even during the ancient times (Mussa). The Greeks interacted with their neighboring nations and even though they conflicted a lot. It can still be noted that there was some trade that occurred between them. The process of globalization, especially in the economic domain, has brought about many good qualities. However, it has been discovered that it has also brought about problems in the world. The process can, therefore, be stated to have not occurred smoothly. The reason for this is stemmed from the factors that are influencing the creation of global economy. These factors are followed by those that are opposing the creation. By looking at the two circumstances, a person could be able to see what can be done to eradicate any challenges that could come and destroy economic growth.
Positive Factors influencing the creation of economic growth
Cultural reactions to being white
One of the positive factors that has led to the creation of global economy is the culture of being whiteness or light skinned. The fact that people wanted to have light skin led to the global market for beauty products. In the world, it is believed that people who are white or Caucasians are the most beautiful. This fact has caused many people from all over the world to try and change their appearance and become lighter skinned. The whiteness of a person can be traced back to the time of the ancient Greek. During their wars, the Greeks were able to observe that the Celts and the Scythians were lighter than them. At that time, the lighter people in the society were claimed to be less civilized (GORDON). However, during the European exploration of the world they acknowledged that the Caucasian women were beautiful. This fact became one of the first indications that light skin women’s appearance are the most appealing.
In the 18th century, that is when the modern intellectual history began through the works of Johann Joachim, who invented the racial science (GORDON). He imagined that the models of the ancient Greek were lighter skinned. In his findings, people of different races were separate and, therefore, had different qualities that distinguished them such as the color of their skin. Consequently, it can be stated that the concept of race and beauty can be observed through this work. In the world, many women want to be light skinned. Thus, different range of beauty products has been formulated to change one's skin color. Countries in the Asian world take matters of physical appearance very seriously (Łopaciuk). This fact is what has caused them to formulate some of the leading beauty products that have generated a lot of money for private sectors and government. These beauty products are shipped and sold to other countries. Therefore, it can be stated that beauty products have a large market, which ensures global economy.
Education
Education is another factor that has led to the increment of global economy. To increase an economy it is important for one to be able to understand and articulate what is required to bring about growth in the finance sector. To understand this factors means that a person is required to be educated on the importance of being innovative and skillful in any field that a person wants to venture. The importance of education can be traced back in history. During the colonial era, the European nations introduced schools to the indigenous people. This education changed the views and lifestyle of the people (Hannah-Jones). They started to look more civilized and cultured. After slavery period had ended African American people were not allowed to be educated due to the segregations laws that restricted them from attending schools with the white people. However, with the passing of time, many black people were able to go to schools and completed their universities (Hannah-Jones). This fact enabled them to be able to participate fully in the development of the nation and the world.
In the modern world, education is one of the most important attributes especially for a country to develop. Therefore, many governments are encouraging their citizens to take their children to schools. Phrases such as education are the building foundation for the future has been told severally by people. In looking at some of the most developed nations in the world, the majority of the people are well educated. This fact indicates that education is making them learn skills that they can use to create something that will bring changes to the world and economy. The fact that internationally all people are encouraged to go to schools has made it possible for people to understand the global trends and technology (Mussa). This worldwide trend has enabled international trade thus causing the increase of world economy.
Prison systems
The prison systems has been stated to be among the factors that have generated global economy. In the world there are many people who have been incarcerated however, they become useful because they are forced to work. It has been stated that in America over 1.8 million people are in the penitentiary. The population of prisoners continues to grow every year. As for the public, the prison systems are used to punish and fight against crimes. However, for the government and private sector prison is an industrial complex that generates a lot of profits. The reason is stemmed from the fact that prisons have been able to flourish in making furniture, clothes, food, and construction. These services are crucial in developing a nation since most of the products they make are sold in an international market. This fact brings about global economy for countries. However, for the prisoners working in a prison is harsh because most of the times they do their jobs without pay or are paid poorly (BERGNER). The people who propose this movement claim that it helps in the rehabilitation of the inmates. The convicts are provided with skills and knowledge about manufacturing or construction work that could come in handy when they leave the prison systems (PERKINSON).
Negative factors influencing the creation of global economy
Lower intelligence level
Intelligence level of individuals is very important in order to increase the economy of the nation. Countries where the IQ level of the individuals are high tend to be more developed than those with low levels. This fact causes them to be ranked higher in terms of development and ingenuity. The ranking of individuals with higher IQ can be traced back to World War 1 where the I.Q test of the recruits was measured. According to the examination, the white soldiers had higher scores than the others (GORDON). Therefore, it became easy for them to be given the top positions. In looking at this point, it is believed that white people have superior intelligence to others, and that is why they can achieve so many success. The fact that they are claimed to have more intelligence have made them superior to the others. The superiority becomes a challenge because it causes the world to be influenced by their economy. Once their economy has gone down this means that the economy of the whole world will also be affected in a negative manner.
In conclusion, there are factors that have influenced the global economy in a positive and negative manner. The positive factors can be seen to be the prison sectors where the inmates are able to create many things that have brought about development in their countries. The introduction of the working inmates was able to spread all over the world thereby causing global economy. The world has a cultural idea of how a beautiful person should look like. This fact has brought about the global beauty market that increases a lot of profit for the private and government sector. Another positive factor is education which enables people to learn about the useful skills that could end up generating revenue for the country. A good example of a negative factor in the development of global economic growth is lack of intelligence. There have been proofs that people from America and Europe have higher IQ levels and that is why they are able to continue being the most developed countries in the world. This fact has caused them to be in charge of the global market. Therefore, once any of this countries have financial problems then it will affect the whole world.
