Global warming describes the gradual increase in Earth’s and its oceans’ temperature that changes the Earth’s climate. It shows that the Earth’s temperature increases due to the effect of greenhouses gases such as extensive emission of carbon dioxide (CO2) due to different factors. It is observed that human activity is the important cause of global warning that influenced the physical mechanism of climate change.
Effect of greenhouse gases in changing the Earth's temperature
Scientists have identified a record variation in Earth's climate dating back hundreds of thousands of years. Significant difference in Earth's climate has reported during the present day and the last 650,000 years. It is experienced that natural changes were the main reason for climate change during the ice ages such as changes in solar energy, volcanic eruptions, and others. On the other hand, presently greenhouse effects are the main cause of Earth's climate change. The greenhouse effect has regulated by greenhouse gases including CO2, methane (CH4), and others. These two gases are most powerful greenhouse gases that keep Earth warm. It is reported that Earth's climate would be the very cold and surface temperature would be in negative without the greenhouse effect. Scientists have found that human activities have contributed substantially to Earth's climate change through adding more CO2 and other gases to the climate. The emission of greenhouse gases has increased that affected Earth's surface temperature (Carbon in the atmosphere, 2016).
Gore's arguments refuting three common Climate Denier Myths
Scientists are debating to identify the different causes of climate change. Al Gore's provided some arguments about global warming and climate change myth. Human activities are the main cause of climate changes which contributed continues growth in emissions greenhouse gases . The automobile industry is the most appropriate example that shows that humans are adding more CO2 and other gases through the excessive use of vehicles in the atmosphere. Humans have made various advancements to reverse global warning and maintain Earth temperature. The significant advancements are increase tree plantation, improved fuel economy, infrastructure advancement, less consumption of greenhouse gases, and replacing fossil fuels (Biello, 2007).
