Looking from this angle I think that Sammy may be considered to be a hero maybe not a great one but he is not afraid to stand and protect those who need it and this trait of character is more often than not present in heroes. As it was mentioned they are not afraid of the consequences because they know they are doing right thing. However, I cannot fully agree that Sammy`s actions were heroic and that Sammy is a hero himself. To my mind, Sammy proved than he has true sympathy and understanding of a situation rather than heroism in himself. This ability to sympathize distinguishes people with high ‘morals’ like Lengel from true human beings like Sammy. His actions were not heroic they were humanistic which, unfortunately, in modern world are so rare that they are often mistaken with true heroic deeds like saving someone`s life or sacrificing something for another one. Also, Sammy understood that his quitting was too much but I think that he would change his job anyway because this situation showed true nature of Lengel and after some time their conflict would only make Sammy`s work unbearable. Also, I agree that if one treats his/her responsibilities and job position professionally then this person will never act like Lengel because it contradicts notion of ‘professionalism’ which excludes subjectivity in judgments.

I agree with statement that Sammy`s actions are not a sign of a hero but I cannot fully agree that girls were attention attractors. To my mind they just did not think about the consequences. To my mind girls are a little bit spoiled and do whatever they want. Also, it was mentioned correctly that age played a great role in this situation. Taking into consideration girls` age their aisle wanders show their immature and teenage stubbornness and I-do-what-I-want attitude. Sammy`s heroic actions only prove that he could understand those girls perfectly well because they are all immature and do not think ahead. To my mind he demonstrated not heroic traits of character but more immature dichotomous thinking that led him into situation that could have been avoided. I totally agree that he understood it later which shows his ability to critically analyze situation and make conclusions. Moreover, he could have turned everything into a joke without embarrassing girls or confronting his boss.
