There are a multitude of ways I will go about conducting my own research to ensure that I produce high quality work. The first thing I will do is to make sure I have adequate time to prepare the research. Of course, this is highly important because it will ensure that I am able to develop my ideas in a way that is unrushed and to have time to deeply consider the many different perspectives that are in existence. Having enough time means that I must plan my schedule according in a way in which I use exceptional time management and not underestimate the time demands associated with the research task.
Another thing I will do while conducing research is to first achieve a basic understanding of the subject before researching more specific things (Oxford Royale Academy, 2014). This approach is something that I would adopt because only through first developing a solid foundation can one truly understand what subjects need to be further researched. Instead, if I were to follow ever individual strand I came across in the research, I might find some interesting information, but more often than not I would search for a significant amount of information that I would not be valuable to my research. This searching would be exhausting and leave me with less time to find truly important information.
However, after I gained a foundational understanding in the topic, the next thing I would do would be to search for in-depth information for highly credible sources. Google scholar provides a very effective means of locating qualitative and quantitative studies (Google Scholar, 2016). By searching for my research topic there, I can limit the year to the last five years and look for studies that are based on strong empirical studies. Once I locate these studies then I can gather them and use the most relevant information as a means through which I can have evidence to support the arguments in my essay. Of course, this will be very strong because the studies contained in the literature I find will already be supported through peer reviewed literature and thus will be highly credible.
The information gleaned will help my healthcare career development in management in a multitude of ways. In 2014, a university released a study that indicated among the most important skills for healthcare managers to have are process improvement, case management, and business development. While these skills are not directly related to essay writing, it is not difficult to see how having a strong ability to research ideas, formulate arguments, and articulate case perspectives, is an approach that will undoubtedly aid me through process and provide me with a competitive advantage in these skill sets. Through conducting my own research, I will be able to consistently bring new ideas to these pursuits. Furthermore, through structuring my own arguments, I will be able to make persuasive cases for my own viewpoints, thus making me a more valuable individual in the healthcare field. Finally, I will structure my essay around my own arguments.
In conclusion, conducing effective research is not only critical to success in school, but is also something that is deeply important to later career success. As a means of ensuring I produce the highest quality research possible, I will make sure I have enough time to carry out the research, I will develop a strong foundation in the subject, and then I will look for highly credible research studies to support my arguments. This process will ensure that my research is well-through out and researched. As noted, learning how to write effective research will greatly improve my career as a health management professional because it will imbue me with the skills necessary to make arguments and bring innovative solutions to the workplace. Ultimately, this is critical to becoming a valuable and competitive employee.
