The study will initiate by examining the quality and types of the products that the company trades in. This is with the intention of establishing the reasons for the company’s recommendable performance in the international market. Furthermore, the study will focus on the Philip Morris’s marketing strategies and its social activities. The evaluation will essentially rely on the accessible documents including company’s documentaries, reports and scholarly business journals. A mixed research design will be adopted in the study, and finally the results of the analysis presented in graphs and charts.
Philip Morris International Inc. (PMI) is one of the most successful companies in the global market. The company trades in tobacco and cigarettes. Based on the recent global statistics, the company sells its products to over 200 countries in the world. Particularly, PMI enjoys a large command in the international market. The company headquarter is situated in New York City, United States of America. Initially, the company was operating as a cooperate organisation in America. With its experienced and innovative managers, the company expanded its operation in other global countries. The company has encountered criticism from global health experts for producing products that have severe health impacts because tobacco is the main constituent of cigarette (Barendregt, Bonneux & Van Der Maas, 1997). However, the company has devised innovative policies of increasing its global sales and productivity thus countering these challenges.
