This tips are 1) think strategically; 2) focus on accountability; 3) be crystal clear; 4) no guff, no surprises; 5) position finance well; 6) explain the big picture; 7) make it a two-way process; and 8) persevere.. The essay points out that it is important that individuals in an organization realize that their performance has an impact in the overall picture of their company. It also reminded management that they should assess an employee based on factors that are within their control. It would be unfair to judge them for items of which they cannot be held accountable for.
One chose this article because it is a very informative and precise. It offers tips on how to give good feedback to business units and employees, which could easily be implemented by management. It is straightforward and easy to comprehend. The article emphasizes that a good feedback system should allow the person or unit being reviewed to be given a chance to explain their side.
Another reason why one chose the “The List” is because one thinks that the article will prove to be very useful to business organizations. It may serve as a guide for top management when they design a feedback system. The effectiveness of such a system may be assessed according to the tips cited by the author. The list given encompasses the whole business organization. It can be implemented in every department of the company, maybe with some minor adjustments to make it suitable to the unit being reviewed.
