Public policy is a topic on which there are various authors, who have expressed their views and experiences. One of those is Larry N. Gerston, who worked on "Public Policy Making: Process and Principles" and through this effort, he has successfully delivered his views on public policy because he found out various issues during the making and implementation of public policy. He has presented some theories as well as practical implementation of such policies. Herein, I would also like to share some of my thoughts on Gerston work.
Therefore, I will start the process of making in which Gerston identified the issues and resources that were involved in the process of public policy making. I do not believe that it is a theory because the continuous emergence of various issues into the public policy is being noticed. Other than that, it is also analyzed that implementation process was strong that it helped policy to be implemented and practiced.
After reading Greston texts, I believe that he has used classics of public policy studies, and it is the reason that policy commitments were easily converted into practice. Moreover, assessments and directions also helped the author to work on the public process making. It will not be incorrect to state that the practical application is a thing that helps us to evaluate this policy. Evaluation and implementation are two necessary steps that need to be taken.
Therefore, my entire interest is not only on a specific issue, but it is in the whole process of itself. Moreover, roles and realities created my interest, and I got to know the actual situation. However, for me the most interesting aspect of the public policy was the public agenda in which focal point for the policy was not easy to be taken and thus, policy decision were taken cautiously.
