Greystone Technology Group Wins Top Work Places 2015 Award
Greystone Technology has not only shown tremendous revenue growth but the award is a testament to its leadership in HR practices. It plans to hire 50 new people this year.
Denver, Colorado – March 7, 2016 — Denver-based Greystone Technology Group is a proud winner of the Top Work Places 2015 Award conferred by The Denver Post. The results were based on employee surveys and The Denver Post has named 150 companies in Denver as Top Work Places in 2015.
A privately held company in Colorado, Greystone started operations in 1982 and has seen a three-year sales growth of 264% since 2012; for which it was also conferred with the Inc. 5000 award. From a small founding team, the company has grown to 51 employees and is spreading its wings across the state with many branch offices.
The company aims to hire at least 50 new people in various positions across Colorado this year. The company is looking for highly skilled and trained professionals in diverse areas, like IT services, IT operations, HR process, Sales and Business Development and Marketing. These positions will be based across Greystone offices in Denver, Fort Collins and Boulder. The hiring process will begin 1 April 2016.
According to Peter Melby, President, Greystone Technology Group, the company prides itself in having the right team to deliver IT services. Greystone believes in hiring the right kind of people, with the right service mindset who are able to thrive in a rapidly growing, challenging environment.
Most of the employees have joined the company in the last 2 years and have come from diverse backgrounds – a fact that Greystone cherishes and seeks out while profiling applicants.
Angela Davenport, Business Operations Manager, who oversees the HR function for the company, states that the “company has a unique HR process and feels like a smooth operation – even though we employ 50+ technical minds who tend to work in opposition.”
Greystone employees are thrilled with the award and cite many reasons for the honor. Among the many unique ways the company cares for employees, good supportive leadership is one. The company has an open door policy and leaders are always available to discuss challenges and problems with employees.
Leaders and managers are trained to be supportive and help solve customer and employee issues on priority. Managers are encouraged to motivate teams with special incentives and on-the-spot rewards for service delivery.

Employees are proud to be part of the Greystone vision to deliver superior IT solutions to clients. Employees are encouraged to participate in management decision making, in an open environment and become part of the culture of the organization. Their feedback is valued and they are keen to deliver to the company’s vision and goals of managing a service business that helps clients transform their own business and IT infrastructure for the better. Employees are trained to ask questions – reflecting the unique way in which Greystone Technology has tried to revolutionize the business of IT services.
Employees are able to ask questions, understand the clients’ business and problems arrive at a collaborative solution and then implement it. Listening to clients is a part of the organization’s culture and is one of the reasons why clients appreciate the employees and the work they do. It is also reflected in the triple digit growth experienced over the last 3 years.
The company also has a unique community development policy. Employees are encouraged to engage with communities and the company offers a Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program, where full-time employees receive 3 full paid days off per year to work for a NGO of their own choice.
In addition the company also donates $50 to the NGO for each day of volunteering. Greystonians, as they are called, are engaged in helping the community and spend close to 1200 hours annually. As the team size grows, the employee contributions towards communities will only increase in future.
