A perfect blend of qualities is necessary to create a good teacher. A good teacher has a long-lasting impact to the lives of the students and inspires the students toward greatness. Students remember and cherish a good teacher. Students can describe how a good teacher delivers his lesson during class sessions and how a good teacher acts sincerely even in rough moments. In fact, students have a good picture of a good teacher.
Some talks about the quality of a teacher on methods and the presentation of the lesson. There are teachers who have great knowledge but fail to communicate and students are no longer interested or even discouraged. Good teaching frequently has more to do on the attitude of a teacher towards the students, the lessons, and work responsibilities than solely on knowledge. The quality of a good teacher does not mean to be perfect; many excellent teachers possess only some of the traits and if not mentioned then it is just valuable to others.
The most important quality of a good teacher is the love and passion to teach young people. If a teacher does not enjoy then that teacher is not effective at all. A good teacher demonstrates a caring attitude. It takes a lot of time and dedication to get to know a student on a personal level; knows how to balance the situation without crossing the line and when the student believes that the teacher truly cares, and then the student can achieve more.
A good teacher can relate to students. It is quite hard to find a common interest but a good teacher finds a way to connect with students. The teacher has the willingness to think outside the box on continual basis as creative and adaptive to his lessons. It is better to let students engage in good learning and with at most methods applied.
A good communicator is a good teacher. This is not only limited for students but it is also appropriate to parents as well as the faculty staffs. If a teacher has difficulties concerning on how to communicate others, then the effectiveness is limited. A self-satisfied teacher is the most ineffective kind of teacher. No matter how long teachers have taught a certain subject, teachers always want to grow professionally. A good teacher strives to be better and seek professional development.
A great expectation for the success of the students is one of the priorities of a good teacher. Performs well in the class and meets the needs of all the students; if all these are done with passion, the teacher creates success not only for him but also for the students. As a role model, a good teacher guides the student for new challenges and assist students with willingness. The most effective teachers are the one whom many students think are the most difficult. These types of teacher challenge the student and push the students harder compared to an average teacher; the least favorite among students but later on in life students remember them and eager to thank the teacher. These good teachers prepare the students for the future to come.
