1a. “We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained,” said Marie Curie, physicist, chemist, Nobel Prize winner in physics.
1b. Everyone should have such important qualities as persistence and self-confidence so that he or she may believe in the main destination and be able to achieve it (Marie Curie).
2a. According to Kristina Wolff’s article Anti-War and Peace Movements, “Anti-war and peace movements are social movements that concentrate on many issues related to war, armed conflict, and violence. Often, they focus on calling for an end to a specific conflict, the abolition of war, and the elimination of weaponry, as well as the creation of nonviolent mechanisms to solve conflicts. However, the vast majority of people participating in these movements utilize nonviolent tactics.”
2b. Such important issues as cruelty, extremism, military conflicts, and wars are being considered and solved by “anti-war movements”. These movements are specialized in resolving armed conflicts, promoting disarmament and a peaceful outcome. On the other hand, many people involved in peace groupings, try to use peaceful methods of conflict resolution (Kristina Wolff).
3a. Mitt Romney, Governor, businessman, candidate for President of the United States, quotes Jerry Falwell’s phrase, “You do not determine a man’s greatness by his talent or wealth, as the world does, but rather by what it takes to discourage him.”
3b. No one has the right to evaluate the person’s significance only by the financial success or personal qualities. Only the things, that can scare this person or make him or her change the mind, are really important (Jerry Falwell).
