The improvement of relationships has always been a challenge, particularly for businesses. This problem makes work life to be hampered in such a way that they are unable to achieve the objectives they set when starting the business. However, many find their businesses succeeding because they can improve their business relationships. Leadership and objectives are the two important things to improving relationships not only in businesses but also in other forms of relationship.
Improved relationships because of leadership are as a result of the leadership qualities. Leadership qualities are very valuable to leaders. These include humility, honesty, courage, commitment, positivity and determination (Chambers, 2007). These qualities do not make a leader but they are examples of leadership qualities, and they are often observed when the leaders act.
Humility is one of the qualities that lead to improved relationships. When a leader is humble, he or she can engage those that are led. In the business sector, humble leaders help in optimizing employee retention and job satisfaction. The second leadership quality that aids in improving relationships is honesty. Honesty leads to positive attributes like truthfulness and integrity. In addition, trust is created out of these characteristics, which are very vital for the leaders. Honesty also helps the leaders to avoid lying and cheating. When cheating and lying are avoided, leaders can relate well with those that they lead.
Courage and commitment are the other two qualities of a leader that lead to improved relationships. Courage enables a leader to succeed in doing what his or her followers want to do and what may be challenging. It allows him or her to face those challenges with courage so that in the end, he or she may be able to relate well with his or her followers. Commitment, which is anything a leader agrees to do or disagrees to do, is critical in improving relationships. Commitment is very critical because of the fact that it enables a leader to build trust.
Positivity and determination as qualities of leadership help in improving relationships. When leaders have a positive attitude, it becomes easy for them to cope with their responsibilities. It helps them relieve stress, which affects many people. A positive attitude helps leaders to avoid the habit of worrying unnecessarily when improving their mental well-being. When their mental well-being is improved, this enables them to do things as expected by those they are leading. Doing as expected later enables him or her to relate well with those he or she is leading. On the other hand, determination helps leaders to overcome challenges because they are determined to succeed. Overcoming these challenges enables them to succeed in doing what their leaders expect them to do, which later leads to improved relations.
Besides leadership, having a goal is very critical in improving relationships. A goal is that outcome that individuals strive to make sure that they attain (Spriggs, 2011). When a person is in leadership, there must be things he or she wants to accomplish, which may have been proposed by the followers. Failing to have goals means that leaders will not succeed in doing what their followers want them to do. If they fail, then the relationship between them and their supporters deteriorates. However, if the leaders set goals, success is attained, which later improves the relationship between them and their followers.
In conclusion, leadership and goals are some of the two areas to improved relationships. The leadership qualities of leaders enable them to relate well with those they lead. On the other hand, goals enable those in leadership to succeed in what they are supposed to do. Doing what they are supposed to do in the right manner ensures that their relationship with those they lead is improved.

Cultural diversity in a community can affect the process of law enforcement in different ways. For a police officer to investigate any matter in a particular community, he or she should be conversant with the language that is spoken there. In some of the communities, such as those that are located in the Asian-Pacific region, the issue of enforcing the law can be very challenging, especially if the law enforcer is not from that community. Individuals in those communities value their traditional activities, and some activities from another community can be considered to be a crime.
There are many benefits if the law enforcement officers learn the language and skills of the Asian-Pacific communities. A police officer may be called to assist in investigation, and if the police officer is not conversant with the language of the community, then it would be difficult for him or her to solve that issue. Accepting diversity in the society will facilitate a better relationship with the law enforcement officers and the members of the Society (Bu.edu. 2016).
The importance of learning Asian language and skills will facilitate active participation in any law enforcement activity. For example, in order for a suspect to admit that he or she is liable for his or her mistakes, then the police should explain clearly to the suspect. Even if the police find it difficult to learn a particular language, they can use community skills in interpreting the law of the land. Lack of proper ethics and skills by the police in the Asian communities can create conflict between the police and the community members.
The aim of all the law enforcement officers is not only to ensure that there is peace and order but also to improve the diversity in the community. In the Asian and the Pacific regions, there are different ethnic groups with various cultures. If the personnel in charge of law enforcement are unable to identify the culture, then it is possible for them to enforce a law that contradicts with the culture of the community. Understanding the language of the people in the Asian Pacific region will enhance efficiency in the work of enforcing the law in the country. This is because those that are not able to communicate in the native language of the community can find it hard to explain or to understand some of the critical issues in the community.
When learning a language spoken in the Asian-Pacific region, it important to learn the language spoken by the majority of the people there. The importance is that some of the cases or issues related to the law can be translated to the common language of the society, and that can be of great help. When a police officer is conversant with the language of the majority in a particular place, then the process of recruitment of more police officers in the region can be facilitated (Cronkhite & Cronkhite, 2013).
In conclusion, it is evident that the language that a law enforcement officer learns can be of help or no use in a community. If an officer, for example, learns the language of the minority group, then it means that it would be difficult for him or her to communicate with the majority of the people. The language learnt can facilitate acknowledgement of the culture of the people and thus enforcing a law that will protect it.
