It was most interesting to read about the refugees and their outlook on life. Three characters are mentioned while there were also other players. Two questions are to be answered relative to the reading. Question one asks: Does Qwaishina love Sleek? Why or Why not? – From the reading it appears that Qwaishina did love Sleek; however, Sleek was an individual who was angry at the world because of the events in life. She was prone to outburst and speaking before thinking. Events to include losing her son and then the son dying caused her to be more concerned about self which does not allow time to love.
Question two asks: How did Sleek Die? Who is Carijameson? – Sleek died while trying to get away by ship. Carijamesa was an individual to take the lead in ‘going back to earth’ on the ship. This story shares the importance of accepting the position that one is in until a better opportunity presents itself.
Reading 2
Reading Two is somewhat different as it discusses individuals who are classified as the league, the liberators, and the Azteca. Question one asks: How does the league control the liberators? Do you think this control is necessary/.valid? I do not think it was so much of the league controlling the liberators but more about the league enjoying fighting. Control of anyone is easy when their focus is on something that they enjoy doing. It is never a good thing to try to control others although there may be the feeling of need to do so. Question two asks: Do the liberators have the right to be in Azteca? Do they have the right to save others from tyranny? Question one is debatable because the liberators appeared to have an appreciation for the Azetca and for that reason they desired to save them from tyranny. Whether this is valid is debatable.
