With great enthusiasm I am about to complete my Post Graduation at Reading University. Reading University is one of the premier Institutes that follows an international curriculum, has an impressive academic infrastructure and experienced facilitators. I would like continue my association with Reading and want to apply for the position of Careers Consultant.
I am inspired by my educators to pursue this stream as I will get the opportunity to interact with the youth and facilitate them in their career learning and future endeavours. This opening will definitely enhance my management and leadership skills. At school and college level I have organised many seminars and competitions; I will definitely look forward to utilise my talent here. I enjoy interacting with people and have been appreciated by my peers for my interpersonal communication skills. This position will be a learning experience as it requires a proactive mediator that would act as a bridge between the management and the students.
My past experiences as a teacher and then as a course representative has taught me to multitask and meet deadlines with patience. I have worked as a team many times and have improvised by collaborative skills. As a student ambassador I got an insight into the basic student requirements. I have dealt with many stressful situations; I can handle them with a positive approach and determined attitude. My stint with the International Exchange Centre taught me the details of the recruitment, interview and logistics departments. I am proficient in many languages; it will add to my creative skills as a consultant. I am a fitness enthusiast and want to organise athletic events to promote healthy competition. I am adept at the latest computer skills and can deliver impressive reports. All my past experiences have made me a humbler person.
