Mathew 22: 39: You shall love your neighbor as yourself; Our mission in the community is show our love for others by encouraging them to live in peace and always be ready to help others from their community. Love is one on the main aspects which the Christianity world teachings and that is why we should always be ready to assist in any way possible to avoid enjoying while others are crying or mourning. Love is not a word but it is reflected in our daily activities and that why we decided to engaged in this project to aid people from our community. Mark 12: 31: You shall love your neighbor as yourself; there is no other commandment than that. The above statements portrays how the holy book advocates for love also advocates for love as a fruit of holy spirit and helps us strength our faith in our All Mighty God who showed love for us by allowing (Singer 11).
The trip to Banaba’s was of great help to us and it is clearly indicated the various ways in which we helped people in undertaking several activities in which they really appreciated. Painting and storytelling were the thematic issues which we really experienced in the trip. We really interacted with them aided in giving the disabled food that is in need of our services and attention. The trip was awesome and interesting since the activities we undertook that day were meant to help the less fortunate in the society by aiding them to do some activities which are not able to and showing them love. Loving and sharing is what other in the society is a calling which we are taught by the holy scripture as per book.
Aim or need of the project
There are various reasons why I decided to venture in this project in which one of them is to teach people from the community the importance of love, the various which they can show love, the fruits which are experienced from practicing this fruit of the holy spirit and finally, educate them on the several ways which God refers to as actions of love. Through this project people in the society will be able to know the various actions they can undertake to portray love to their neighbors. The above aspect will be enabled by issuing people with booklets stating the various action which they can inculcate in their behavior to enhance practices of love in the society. There will be various learning activities which I will involve the community members to clearly acknowledge the reality that love brings about good results by enhancing it in their families, school, workplaces and in everyplace they travel. During this activities, there will be various love related issues to be discussed and they include; love vs unity, love vs peace and love vs community development activities (Riley et al 15).
Plan to achieve the project need or aim
There various steps which I will adhere to before venture in the interacting with the community members in my mission to educate and teach them the thematic aspect of love as explained and expounded in the book of Mathew 22: 39and Mark 12:31. I will request for permission to interact with the community from the authorities, the find a venue where community members will be gathering, set date for various sessions and finally begin the process by calling for the meeting (Riley et al 15).
In the societies we live, we have got people of all social classes. Those at the lower social classes requires the help of the well up in the society for survival. As God fearing people, we have to apply the Mathew’s teaching in helping each other. Admittedly, there are some people who are not ready to help anyone in their surroundings. Rather than helping the poor, the rich mistreat the poor through heavy work and insults. Cases of the poor ending up losing their life as a result of mistreatment are evident and this is as a result of lacking the helping hand (Singer 11).
Some decades back when some countries were not independent, the colonialism depicted lack of helping one another. The colonizers who were said to have more knowledge and wealth than the colonized, used to sell the others to work in plantations throughout their life. The slaves used to work for longer hours every day leading to health hazards. Everyone should be able to think on why I should treat someone in a way I don’t expect the same from other people. In this regard, there is a need of helping (Riley et al 15).
