Joining the navy was the best decision I have ever made. Ten years after I enlisted, I have no regrets whatsoever in as being a man of the uniform is concerned. Apart from giving me the chance to serve my beloved country, the navy has also opened many doors which would otherwise be impossible. It is win this regard that I say that I feel honored to be part of this highly esteemed organization that is the navy.
In my decade of servitude to my homeland, I have realized that contrary to what many people think, the navy provides a level playing field for any person to progress in their military career. As such, the navy has accorded me the opportunity to achieve success and defined my future aspirations.
Career advancement has always been part of my well thought out path toward success. It is with this school of thought that I wish to apply to be considered for the commission program. Being part of the commission program will enable me go up the ranks in the military, something that I have always wanted to do. Having served in the navy for ten years, I have learned that the avenues for career advancement are endless, and that hard work is what gets you ahead. Well, let me first state that I am a hard worker who strives to achieve at whatever I put my hands on, and the military is not an exception.
I have my eyes set on joining the commission program, where I hope to advance in my professional qualifications to enable me serve my president and country better, and improve the quality my family’s quality of life.
