Interpretation: Here it is interpreted as an argument if the speaker specifies the employment rules of the company and offers evidence. The first and the second sentence are premises. The third sentence is a conclusion.
A non-argument, speaker’s opinion.
Interpretation: Here the case is a non-argument, as the speaker simply expresses their opinion regarding the subject’s tardiness and supposes that the new company would not employ the subject for this reason. A statement where no evidence is offered is an opinion.
However, if more context is added (evidence), and words which define conclusion and premise, the phrase will become an argument.

You will be welcome at the party only if you dance, because you are boring if you just sit there, and if you dance, which is an aerobic activity that makes you sweat, you need to keep hydrated. Therefore, you have to drink water before going.
