The primary reason for promoting him to the Distinguished Teaching Award is his level of dedication to the job. He is a hard working individual who will stop at nothing until he is done with whatever he is doing. He believes in delivering the best he can, in the right manner and on time and budget. During his career as the dean, the department has been awarded severally for efficient functioning of its operations and students rate high among the most eminent in the university. Mr. Fields does not take all this credit on himself but highly praises the teaching and non-teaching staff members of his department for their dedication in their business. He has effectively made a policy that covers the issues of employees appropriately at a departmental level to make sure that issues raised are managed appropriately. Eventually, through a comprehensive implementation of the university’s policies, he has made sure that teaching is done in the proper manner and students are able to appreciate what they are taught and their lecturers.
