REMEDIES OF HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION
Human beings are entitled to several rights for instance right to life. Human rights violation refers to the abuse of those rights that those human beings are entitled to. The abuse of human rights can be done anyone or even government forces that might carry out programs of torture. These acts of human rights violation can bring about conflicts between people who have been tortured and the government forces
Human rights violations are many and they occur in very many ways, for instance the violation of the right to life. Everyone is liberated to this right but it is often violated in times of war. For instance, the Genocide conducted by the Khmer Rouge group to the people of Cambodia. Most of the people killed were the educated, such as lawyers and doctors as well as those who were on the police and military force. The objective of these prosecutions was to build a society which there was no competition between people. All people therefore were supposed to work to a common goal.
The first remedy for human right violation in this incidence is prosecution for the people who committed the crimes. This will be done by first investigating the incidence very well. After the investigation has been done and the culprits have been found, they will be arraigned in court then prosecution will be done to them. This would be very fair for the families of the deceased, since they will see that they are rendered justice.
The second remedy that I would recommend for the families of the deceased is by compensating them. They should be compensated in terms of money since most of them were their breadwinners. The government should also take full responsibility of the education of the children of the deceased. This would be good because those families will not suffer looking their children’s school fees.
Remedies of Human Rights violation might not bring the people killed back to life but it will bring harmony back to the people who lost their relatives with the people who caused their deaths. These remedies will also help the affected families feel that justice has been done.
