Renaissance had the features of a new worldview, which had basis of human experiences, focused on the humanism and education for all, and had the spirit of curiosity and adventure in society. As such, there was a new life approach and reviving of the spirit of architecture, art, learning, and literature. Further, the period is associated with scientific investigations and vernaculars growth.
Medieval roots
Renaissance did not have a starting place or point. However, Northern Italy is considered as the starting point. The focus of the early figures was on the humanist movement, which aimed at art, social, and literary advancements through several religious events. As such, the ancient Greek Latin and Roman were rediscovered. Cultural breakdown occurred when the classical culture aimed at upholding the republican ideals of Rome and Athens. These were different from the ideas of the Renaissance.
Contribution of technology
Technology played a significant role by establishing the idea of the printing press. Such created an opportunity for people to read, as well as buy printed books, which were moveable from one location to another. Thus, artists and scholars could travel to other places in order to exchange ideas. Furthermore, philosophers and writers used the technology to express ideas that depicted changing worldview through experiments. Moreover, technology helped in translating the renaissance ideas into different languages, which made more and more people understand its concepts.
Ideas and spirits
The ideas of Renaissance focused on humanism and the appreciation of curiosity and classics in society. Such was in terms of human experiences on how to use realistic techniques when solving social problems. For example, writers, artists and architects used the realistic techniques. As such, the modern society appreciates humanism, respects the artwork, and it is knowledgeable on religion and authority. Further, the current society has different religious backgrounds and establishments of authority depending on how people understood Renaissance ideas.
