Educational experience
Education proves to be an important aspect to the lives of people. The basics help one to navigate seamlessly through everyday activity. Therefore, the methodology, pedagogy, instructional level and depth of the instruction is vitally paramount. It all narrows down to the effectiveness of the teacher training experience and research. When adequate, relevant and result oriented research on education is conducted, empirical and theoretical approaches that define the specific research topics are formulated. Every person doing research on education must define the endeavour regarding specific areas of coverage, depth, and scope.
Additionally, they must know the source of the data and information. Moreover, for the purpose of adding and contributing to the noble profession, the researcher must dig into journals and publications and submit the research to a scholarly and peer-reviewed platform. Therefore, just as the replies has mentioned, journals relating to theory and practice form a useful background research base that can be used for mining useful research data.
Research
Following my research topic on education, I had to select a topic, depth, and scope for the purpose of defining the task. The study was based on available journals and publications that could provide the pertinent and most current information and data relating to my objectives. It was critically important that I select only journals that would illuminate and focus on my research topic. It is also important to note that amid all the publications that I came across, there were those that were not very influential nor helpful. The research area I was concerned with was positive behaviour interventions support (PBIS). Therefore, any article, journal or publication must be in line with the more valid and empirically verifiable approaches such as experimentation, case studies, and correlational aspects. The importance of the research and empirical analysis to my case provided that I read widely and wildly through many articles, journals and related publications for the purpose of getting the perceived data.
Similarly to the replies, I am tentatively planning to submit my research to the middle school journal which is the officially accredited for the middle-level education publications. The circulation capacity of the publication exceeds 22,000 and has a planned publish turnaround of five times during 2015-2016: October, January, April, September, and November" (Middle School Journal, 2016, p. 1).The following is a list of the stipulated writing guidelines for a submission at the middle school journal.
The pages, all content inclusive should range from 10-20 pages, double spaced.
Images, tables, figures, and charts are to be minimized and placed at the end of the contextual text.
Lead paragraphs should be catchy to attract the attention of perspective reader into the publication.
For style, the American Psychological association (APA) format should be used. Sixth edition.
All publications are subject to being edited for the purpose of improving quality, style and space conformity (Middle School Journal, 2016, p. 1).

Education experience and research
Apparently, student retention, commonly referred to as persistence is a vice that is eating up the educational system. In my view, it is connected to instructional technique and most importantly grade level an instructional method is applied. I tend to agree with the replies on the matter that engaging inquiry-based teaching, and learning approach is the catch to more retention rates in schools. Additionally, introducing the strategy to learners from the lower levels will inculcate and promote the retention rate of the same students in higher grades. When the inquiry-based methodology is synchronized into the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) teaching and learning approach, more retention rates can be achieved. Critical research and inquiry into journals and articles relating to inquiry-based instructional approach prove that student performance and persistence can be enhanced. A range of journals has been published that promote the same.
The platform to which I will submit the manuscript must be in line with the STEM system of education about inquiry geared instructional criterion. Therefore, I will present my publication to the International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education. The platform has many of the authors winning the Nobel Prize. Most of the publishers here are science, mathematics and technology writers. I chose this avenue for my submission considering that the presentation, writing, and publishing policies are a function of the STEM system of which I am a dedicated advocate.
For the purpose of ensuring that my manuscript is professional and detail oriented, I will conform to the same standards and submission principles to which the replies are aligned with. Some of the submission guidelines for the International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education include
Rigorous review and evaluation of the manuscripts
Plagiarism scanning to ensure originality and copyright regulations have adhered to such as the use of ithenticare and crosscheck.
The dedicated editorial committee do purpose and regulatory screening.
Peer review by other publishers and editor is mandatory.
APA guidelines must be followed. (6th ed) and general formatting standards such as fonts, sizes, and colours.
The total word count of the manuscript must be between 5000-6000 words.
