The project involved concerns designing school land through map design. Students are tasked to come up with a major plan of where major structures will be situated in the near and far future. This paper seeks to bring out the limitations involved in developing an effective design that will be able to allow effective placement of the given structures.
The students might not understand the future land requirements based on the current plans and usage. They lack the understanding of where the future structures will be situated and what important activities will require to be executed at specific places within the given plans.
Another major limitation is that students will at times be carried away by simple plans in the environment from which they emanate. It also comes from the understanding that different environments are differently engraved with structures. The feeling that these structures could be random may bring about a biased planning.
The essence of group work is also another determining factor whereby, the relevant all members depend upon each other. The major challenge behind this aspect is that some of the members might not be effectively co-operative in terms of contribution. Overdependence amongst members might set in an ineffective ordeal and a demanding situation in coming up with a viable plan for the school.
Planning requires much interest as well as concern of what is being for. The concern for the group could not be the necessary plan but the need to complete the project for academic processes, the generally interferes with the quality of the plan.
There could be a problem within the data being used such that the data may not be possibly correlated in the future. Understand that major factors such as the available expanse for planning is changing, it becomes necessary to carry a conceptual approach in planning in the future.
