Investment Targets
We need to appreciate that an investment strategy should be a set of rules and procedures which are meant to give guidance to an investor’s selection of any investment area. Our investment strategy is based on risk-return tradeoff. We have decided to invest in IT which is a very risky venture but has got high rate of return on investment.
Our company’s name is referred to as Mega Mind Ventures and we focus mainly on IT sector most specifically in the fields of software, mobile, saas and cloud and finally in data communication. The project will be developed in stages for instance seed stage, start up and early growth stage. These stages will require funding from the 100 million dollars capital we have set aside for this project. Our preference is to lead the investment round early and invest in multiple stages.
Our experience in various IT related fields gives us an upper hand to extend our areas of operation and even allow us to support multiple companies we are investing in. We have invested in 32 companies before and to gage our performance, large corporations have acquired 7 of them and 5 of them have been taken up by the government. The company started in 2005 in Saint John, New Brunswick and we currently have 4 very active partners, which brings wide array of expertise to our investment.
In conclusion, our target geographical market is North America since here; there will be less competition as well as lower tax levies on investors. Furthermore, people have a lot knowledge as far as IT is concerned hence we wont spend much time and money advertising our services.
