This year I was able to improve my skills in IT. I honed my skills in office packages enabling me to easily manager documents of any type in the office or any other place for that matter. The knowledge I acquired also enables me to easily search for information in the internet, after learning how the search engines in the internet work, I’m now able to find more comprehensive information on anything I’m searching. This is a huge step insofar as this course is concerned. By learning about emails, I have been able to exchange on learning experiences with my fellow students from other parts of the country and even abroad.
Learning the computer packages has enabled me with skills I needed in this field of study. In access, I learnt on how to design databases which enable one to control and manage information in the business field; information regarding employees for example and their salaries or about suppliers and the amount and type of supplies they provide to the company.
I also learnt about customer relation skills. Here I learnt on how to deal with clients, I learnt on how to handle customers and sell the image of the company I’m working with to the public. It is crucial to learn on how to handle clients as they are always the blood line of every organization. The organizations depend on them and without proper handling, the organization could lose on the clientele base to their competitors.
I also learn how to make decisions quickly concerning any issue at hand. When one is confronted with a circumstance in his working place that demands quick attention, one needs to make quick decisions which at some point may be key on determining the company’s future. I was able to learn which factors to put into consideration when coming up with quick decisions and this was a key lesson in this profession.
The above lessons were crucial to my learning as they come in handy when performing day to day activities in the work place. They are memorable lessons as they made me had a clear understanding of the work place and somehow played a major role in preparing me for the work place.

Soft skill evaluation
Time management
I was able to acquire the skill of time management in my life as a student. With many assignments to work on and deadlines to meet, time management was inevitable if I had to succeed in my academics. Procrastination was the first thing I had to do away with completely, since I realized that I was not able to complete tasks in the right time or even at all as I kept postponing them for later which most times never came. Avoidance of this habit ensured that I wo0rk on a task immediately it is handed to me, and focus on it fully till it is comprehensively done before I embank on any other expeditions. Through this I have been able to meet my deadlines worth great ease.
Organizing my activities as well as things by ensuring they are well arranged in the right places where they can be found has also enhanced my time management skills. It is therefore easy to find a given object in a given place since they are arranged in a given order, hence much less time is invested in searching for an object, thing or entity.
Teamwork
As a part time employee, I was privileged to be part of a team that conducted a survey for the company and came up with a unique and distanced strategy of how the company was going to penetrate and win the market, in a region where its competitors were quite dominant. The implementation of the strategy and results yielded from it, made me appreciate the power that lays in numbers. I learnt that the greatest of things were done when people united with a common purpose, I now deeply embrace teamwork as an ingredient without which it is impossible to excel in any sphere of life.
Leadership
Being a student leader in the university has been of great help to me. It has horned my analysis as well as judgmental skills concerning various situations. Many communication skills have also been improved through my participation in student leadership. As a result, I am now confident as well as out spoken and can be able to rationally evaluate and analyses situations keenly and give sound judgment, befitting a given situation.
Initiative
To further improve my skills In my field of study I have also been involved in various projects within my locality. These projects have aimed at establishing enterprises where the youth can get self-employment through conduction of their own business where they can make their own money instead of engaging in crime and violence. Facilitating seminars to educate individual in the same field is also a program that I have managed to run with great success. These initiatives have not only build others but they have also bulided and enhanced my skills as a professional.
