THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE
Strategic management plan is a continuous process that controls and does evaluation of the business and the factors that affect it. It assesses both the external and internal factors that affect it. These factors are the SWOT factors which are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Strengths and weaknesses are the internal factors while the threats and opportunities are the external factors. This management plan assesses the company’s competitors and sets strategies and goals to meet all potential competitors and the existing ones. After assessing the SWOT environment, it reassesses each and every strategy regularly so as to choose the one to undertake or use (Williamson, Cooke, Jenkins & Moreton, 2003, p.44).
The strengths of an organization are the internal factors that affect it. In this case of the Elite Care, the strengths are that the health care provides high class services that big hospitals provide like the chemotherapy. These services are only found in big hospitals and they are very expensive and so they make them affordable to the middle class group which is their main target. Their other strength is that, they provide guidance and counseling to the H.I.V and Aids patients which is not usually done in the big hospitals. This makes patients suffering from that feel accepted in the society and makes them accept their situation.
The weaknesses of an organization are those characteristics that put it at a disadvantage from other organizations. In this case the weakness of this healthcare is that it is providing expensive facilities to the middle class group which pay less for the services. For instance the chemotherapy and cancer services which are expensive and the middle class group is willing to pay for less; hence Elite Care will be forced to dig it their pockets to continue with the services.
The opportunities of an organization are those outside chances that improve the organization’s performance (Williamson, Cooke, Jenkins & Moreton, 2003, p.47). In the Elite Care, the opportunities are that the health care services are improving so the research done through out will probably improve the services that are given in the health care. The research done will also make the services cheaper so definitely the Elite Care will be advantageous. It is also serving the middle class group which is big so customers are always available.
Threats of an organization are the outside elements that will bring trouble to the business. The threat that the Elite Care company face is the research done will mean that there is need to buy new equipment which is very expensive. Owing to the fact that it is providing extremely cheaper services to the middle class, it will make it difficult to buy. The internal and the eternal environments of the Elite Care aim to provide the best and affordable services to both the patients and the staff. The company must also work to achievement of the top honor in the quality healthcare services field. These elements also must work towards making the Elite Care the safest place for the customers while fulfilling their needs on time.
A continuous Improvement Process (CIP) is a continuing effort to make products, processes and services better (Schmidt, 2009, p. 63). The Elite Care CIP is that, the company should at least charge a fee that will profit them too. It should also maintain the standards of their services with a considerable amount of charges. These plans are linked to the mission where it states that it offers the best services at an affordable rate. And the vision statement in that it is aiming to provide the best services in the whole nation.
The limitation of the CIP process of the Elite Care is that it will need to dig deep in their pockets so as to maintain the provision of the services at an affordable rate. This is very expensive since the equipment is expensive. The implication is that the Health Care will suffer loss and in the long run providing poor services due to lack of money to maintain the expensive equipment.
