Life of human beings is continually becoming better and better due to technological advances. Certainly, automation plays a substantial role in the technological progress. Automation refers to the use of control systems, as well as information technology to reduce the call for human in the production of services and goods. Automation has tremendously affected the lifestyles and culture of American people in various ways. The life of American people has been made easy by automation, through time saving, enhancement of information, as well as a reduction of human labor.
Probably, Americans have taken advantage of automation more than any other county in the world. It has created an interconnected society, where people interact and access unlimited information. Additionally, automation has replaced tasks that were undertaken by man, especially in a dangerous environment. Hence, it saves time for human beings, and gives them an opportunity to hub on innovations and inventions. Human beings have limited capabilities, but the presence of automation has helped in performing tasks that are beyond the capabilities of humans in terms of endurance, speed, size, as well as weight.
Economically, automation has improved economic enterprises in America. For example, when business enterprises invest in automation, due to efficiency of technology, it recovers its investment, leading improvements in the country’s GDP (Gross domestic product). Automation has also affected the culture of American people though media. In the 21st century, there are many commercial advertisements in American television, as well as other social networks. This in turn, affects how Americans dress, shop, entertain themselves, and entire socialization process.
On the other hand, automation has negative impacts. Automation has taken away employment of most American people, leaving many jobless. Automation is not a solution to the employment crisis, but rather exploits the working class. In order to change to automation, it requires high initial costs, as well as having unpredictable development costs. Furthermore, automation has minimal level of intelligence; hence, it is prone to making errors.
Conclusively, automation has affected American lifestyle and cultures. Improvement of the living standard among the American people is attributed to automation. In numerous and diverse ways, automation has more positive impacts towards the Americans. Generally, it is worth having automation systems, and but lose other few things in the process.
