For the last two decades, the United Arab Emirates has established itself as the most significant leisure and business destination for the people looking for the best of everything. From the country’s irresistible beaches to lavish hotels, the art of hospitality has been redefined in a central geographical location where basically, “east meets west”. The development of Business Tourism has been prioritized by the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority which catalyzes and seeds the events via Advantage Abu Dhabi (AAD) motivation program. Also, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) as a major stakeholder in tourism development plan of Abu Dhabi is charged with the responsibility of developing and promoting UAE’s tourism industry. However, this is effectively carried out with efficient collaboration of UAE’s tourism industry private and public sector stakeholders such as airlines, destination management companies, attraction operators, organizers of exhibitions and conferences and the transport and aviation infrastructure suppliers (Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, 2012).
Both the private and public stakeholders adopt a collaborative approach aimed at promoting UAE purely as the world’s up-market destination that has uncompromised purpose towards preserving and sustaining treasured heritage, traditions and natural environments (Al Mashni, 2009). To foster tourism development plan of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority has established Industry Development Committees (IDCs) that constitute tour operators, accommodation, retail and attractions, business and transport tourism. The IDCs meet the authority regularly to recognize opportunities and challenges that are essential for the improvement of product development (Al Mashni, 2009).
