Introduction
The term Pacem is an extremely common figure in the world of Latin music. It is defined as the Latin word for expressing peace through music. This technique has been extremely successful in the delivery for the real meaning of peace in the world. The idea of expressing peace dates back to the reign of Pope John XXII who wrote on Pacem in Terris, which meant peace to the entire world. This was the first address by the people to the entire world although he was used to dedicating his messages only to Catholics. In this work, Pope tried to cover several instances where the earth did not have peace and aimed at ensuring every individual enjoyed peace and was to the access of it to the fullest. Franco-Flemish Renaissance is a school that has been extremely significant in ensuring that world understands this music and it is not confused to other forms of music within the globe. Robert Spittal, is a global figure and a Pacem legendary. He believed in this form of music, which defined his success and acceptance in the globe as he preached peace through his music. Spittal is an American conductor and composer and heads a music band and is famous of the Pacem music, which is a song of peace. He is a professional and academic musician. Spittal is a Pprofessor of music in Spokane in the Gonzaga University (Natanson, 1968).
Since then the term has been a common ingredient in any Latin music. Music artists have noted that peace is extremely vital in the society and it is only through music that they could reach a good deal of people through their music. One of the Pacem presentations that have become extremely famous out of this form of music is the one presented by Robert Spittal. It has been played through instrumentalist, vocalist, and pianist (Natanson, 1968). This shows that there different ways of expressing the form of music as a definition for peace in the world.
The reason for choosing Latin in expressing peace to the world
Robert Spittal chose Latin for various reasons. Latin is well known as one of the ancient languages in the world of communication. This means that almost every individual in the society is conversant with the language and it is the most suitable to deliver message to the world as it has done before (Natanson, 1968).
The language is believed to have had originality in definition as it dictates the beginning of definition of language in the modern society. People believe that unless a word is defined on Latin it is borrowed and it lacks originality. Therefore, defining peace in terms of Pacem, the Latin word that talks of peace aims at reaching most people in the globe with the aim of making them have proper understanding for peace as it is dictated by the oldest language, which is used as a reference by other languages. The language has the strength to bring the universal feeling for peace through the universal definition for peace in the globe Senge,
Being a universal language, the Latin language is bestowed power to continue making the world a favorable place for human living. Therefore, it has the role of reaching all individuals. Peace is one of the elements that may make the world become like a palm of a hand. This is the case at the point where all people understand peace and have the meaning of the element at heart. Since Latin represents global understanding. It means that the global society will have a direct touch to the entire globe and people will be out for peace and understanding of its role in the society. Latin knows no barriers in forms of race, historical affiliations, race, and religion. This means that there will be no barriers to global understanding of peace and all people will have to understand the significance of peace and the role that each one of them has towards promotion for peace in one’s society (Chan, 2011).
The other main reason for choosing to express peace in Latin is to pay tribute to the individuals who gave rise to this form of music by initiating talks about Pacem. Franco-Flemish Renaissance is a figure that represents the legendary nature of peace. This is an institution that has taken this music to an extremely high height. The institution has brought in several strategies through which the message is relayed to the world. The school educates people on different forms of music through which peace may still be relayed without ignoring the overwhelming nature of Latin language. The institution educates people on vocals in music as well as the manner through which vocals may be combined with instruments to lead to intensive meaning of the form of music as well as attract most people towards this kind of music and promote peace in the society (O'Connell and Salwa, 2010).
Latin has unique words that directly dictate peace in the globe. For example the use of the term Maestosoand which is an Italian borrowed word to Latin is an extremely common word in the world of music. It is an enormously used term with the aim of defining peace in the society. This word aims to indicate that peace in the society is a major calling and all individuals have to participate. This Latin word has imparted different languages to find unique definitions for peace in the globe (Chan, 2011). Most communities have realized that language is an essential tool in defining peace in the society as well as express other issues in the society.
The success of Pacem in delivering peace in the world
The main aim of using Latin was to make people in the entire world understand the role of music in delivering peace in the world. However, this mission has been achieved following the willingness of the global society to adopt peace as the survival strategy. The consistent preaching of peace in the society has been extremely fundamental. It has sensitized the world that people needs to remain in peace with each other despite the differences that may exist between people in the society. This will be achieved through each individual upholding peace as a virtue that ought not to be left behind by any individual (Gramit, 2002).
Many musical artists have played critical role in defining peace in the globe. Some of them have directly borrowed from Pacem form of music. For example, Robert Spittal is a musical artist who extensively believed in peace in the globe. Therefore, he decided to directly employ Pacem as a tool that would ensure peace in the society. This form of music made him success more than other individuals who tried to preach peace but ignored the role of Pecam or the use of Latin language. The success of Spittal can uniquely be defined by the secret of adopting a global element such as Pacem (O'Connell and Salwa, 2010). Other music artists are not likely to succeed like Spittal if they do not consider any global figure that may define their musical work.
Although the world has been experiencing adverse peace denying moments the problem has continued to change for the best following the adverse preaching of peace in the globe. Pecam has played the most critical role in making the world a worth place to live in as it pushes for peace and success at all levels. Artists are encouraged from time to time to come up with songs that are peace inclined to ensure the society lives accordingly with everyone in love with each other and full of the willingness to ensure neighbors are at peace (O'Connell and Salwa, 2010).
Artists who may not have full understanding of Latin may interpret this music to their languages. Since not all individuals in the world understand Latin it will be easier to communicate to them in their local language. Therefore, artists must be ready to deliver peace to the globe and must be willing to defend it at all times and points.
Conclusion
Pecam is form of music that aims at dictating peace to the globe. This is a Latin word for peace. There are various reasons that make Latin the most favorable language in delivering the peaceful message to the world. In this case, artists have to be willing to deliver messages to the world that would prevent violence butt encourage peace in the society. Robert Spittal is a representation of artists who use Pacem as a tool to deliver peace in the world. Franco-Flemish Renaissance has also been extremely fundamental in ensuring global understanding of peace. However, following these adverse efforts to encourage existence of peace in the globe Pacem has been successful and has been upheld by most individuals in the society.
