Product target audience
The market target depends with the nature of the product that is manufactured with an aim of capturing the specific consumer. The diversification of market has changed with the time frame as the choice and preference of the consumer changes depending with several factors (Hawknis, Mothersbaugh, & Mookerjee, 2011). Taking a product that has taken more than 25 years in the market like American Car Company that produces streetcar, has taken the customers preference due to its quality production. The product in the market for about 2 to 3 years like CES 2013 digital camera that was introduced by the Sony Canada in 2013, has a specific target of the customers. In relation to less than 3 month product in the market such as a new male colon, each product aims to different market audience as well as to increase their customer catch.
The American Car Company targeted the schools and institution in their manufacture of vehicles as well to individual customers (Becker & Murphy, 2000). The company employed production of high quality cars that met the customer’s preference in the market in late 1890s. This made the company to be more competitive at that time and won the customers confidence. The target of the Sony Canada in the production of high quality producing camera is to increase its market. This camera attracts the photographers due to their capture as producing clean photos. The other product targets men as most of the cosmetic and beauty outlet concentrate with the ladies' products (Costa & Bamossy, 1999). This diversifies and attracts the men interest on their beauty and good smell hence serving their interest.
Social and cultural behavior of the audience targeted by the different products is different. The customers have a different perspective of the quality hence affecting their preference. The time frame helps in defining the market of the product as well as their consumption (Hawknis, Mothersbaugh, & Mookerjee, 2011). The American Car Company at a later time has to face stiff competition from other companies in the car manufacturing industries. Introduction of technology and advanced automobile engineering has made the industry have new and high quality cars hence the customers choosing the new improved cars. This affects the American Car Company as some of the customer diverts to new manufactured cars from other companies.
The culture of the customers as well of the company has to show similarity in meeting the expected outcome and target in the market (Costa & Bamossy, 1999). The colon producing company has to meet the social and culture requirement for their target audience being men. This has to convince men that the product can serve their needs and enhance their dignity (Hawknis, Mothersbaugh, & Mookerjee, 2011). Personal characters define the status and their lifestyle in regard to the difference of product consumption. It helps in defining the market and returns from the purchased product.
In the distribution of the products has to meet the requirement of different category of individuals depending on their status and lifestyle. This helps in dictating the price discrimination as the high class people tend to purchase high price product in regard to quality (Becker & Murphy, 2000). Men colon can catch high return and large market share with the working men other than nonemployed parson. Lifestyle also is applied by the Sony in selling CES 2013 camera especially to the tourist and photographers. The distribution of cars also had to meet the quality requirement of the customers as well as the social status and lifestyle.
According to the lifecycle of the different products depends with the time and the customer response in quality (Hoffman, Ethics., & al, 1999). The American Cat Company in 1930s faced recession in there, market as they had faced stiff competition from other companies in the industry. The CES 2013 camera from Sony Canada has enjoyed an increase in the demand of their camera in the market due to its qualities and properties. It has reached peak stage in the lifecycle and performing well in market (Hawknis, Mothersbaugh, & Mookerjee, 2011). Men colon in the market has less than three month old in the market is at the stage f establishing its market. This depends with the level of advertisement with the aim of increasing their demand.
The ethical consideration of the companies in manufacturing has to meet the set standards of quality and fitness of the product for customer’s consumption. The companies have to provide products with regard of ethical and consumer protection laws that are set to safeguard the customer’s welfare (Hoffman, Ethics., & al, 1999). This helps in ensuring the product meets the customer’s expectation and performing the duties that were meant. The violation of these qualities can make the companies face prosecution and cancellation of their production licenses. Finally, in production of cars, CES 2013 camera and man colon, the firms have to meet the standards and quality of their product as they expand the market share.
