The topic that I have chosen is the social independence and prejudice. It is focused on addressing some of the factors that actually cause influence over the social status of people in any place. I have chosen the topic with concentration with the context within the text by Kurt Vonnegut and the film related to V for Vendetta. Taking the literature class has been the basis of the influence of the choice of the two sources of information (Dulin, 2007 pr. 7). That is using a text as well as the film. It is in relation to the content that I have found it important to note that there is community in the theme of the treatment of social being by the two sources. It is my feeling that the two sources of information have feasible and tangible evidence on the different sources of social controls. Ideally, the Harrison Bergeron source is significant in elaborating the theme of social control methods. It makes efforts to bring out the idea the concepts behind negligence that is experienced by both individuals as well as the technology advancement. In addition to the first source of information, we find the film V for vendetta based in the year 2005. It shows in discretion the way that the government gradually tries to take advantage about the social status of the people. In this, we mean that it tries to take advantage of the citizens with respect to their social rights like decision making.
The topic that I have chosen is very appropriate. Ideally, it is very educative with reference to the readers as to me. I have had ample research in previous periods within the same scope of topic and this one is intended to make deeper solutions (Paik, 2010 pg 57). It is my feeling that the research will bring about deeper information and hence act as a source of wealth in information for all the related readers.
The chosen documentation style that I intend to put into use is the Modern language Association style. It is important to note that the MLA style is one of the most effectively used styles in the liberal arts as well as the humanities. The style is intended dominate throughout the activity.
Research Question and Working Hypothesis
The leading question of research that I propose in this work is: what are the ways that one can acquire social independence and freedom? Relatively it is to be extracted from the thematic question of whether Kurt Vonnegut Harrison Bergeron takes the same perception of V for Vendetta in the context of social life.
The working hypothesis is that based on the two sources. First, the hypothesis I propose is that the government plays part in designing the social life of its citizens. Secondly, negligence towards human beings as well as technology also affects the way by which social life is implicated.
Research Strategy Description
In this research, I intend to find out the different ways through which the society is deprived off its rights of social independence. Assuming that the people were not in a position to make define decisions, and then there is presence of discrimination towards the human beings and the technology that they have came up with. Relatively, the presence of a dystopian kind of a society is related to the disparities in the social arena. This kind of a society is said to be characterized by oppressive methods of socially related control of the social being. On the other side, the film selected shows how the government takes the advantage of the citizens and their social life(Dulin, 2007 pr 7). Ideally, this is done through making the citizens of the United States live under pressure. The methods that is used in making sure that they take control over the citizens were torture the citizens physically as well as mentally. One of the awkward scenarios is the situation where the authority required the citizens to maintain commonness in reasoning. The two sources from which the information is to be gathered is from the book by Kurt Vonnegut, Harrison Bergeron and the film V for Vendetta. It is via a detailed study of the above sources that I will be able to make critical analysis about the research question.
Besides the study on the basic factors that lead to the discrepancies in social relations, there are other issues that I would wish to study. For example, I intend to carry out the arithmetic study of the individuals with weaknesses such that they subject themselves to social prejudice. In my study I intend to make clear the source as well as the effects often social prejudice towards one’s life (Dulin, 2007 pr 6). In addition to that, it is my intention to make contributions toward any discrepancies that might affect the social existence of a particular people
Conclusions
With reference to the different situations of discrepancies, this study is just intended to research on the discrepancies of sociology among the people. The research will basically be based upon the film as well as the books indicated above.
