After learning about her successful journey as a registered nurse, do you feel it is important to hold many different healthcare positions over time? Or do you feel it is beneficial to master one craft?
Alyson Bailey:
The essence presented with an exhibition of information determined Dr. Gebbie efforts "transcended" with an aim to practically comprehend transformational leadership as a senior associate of public health. In particular, Gebbie focused over the importance of the need of system thinking to be developed with the feedback of nurses because of their firsthand experience to deal with bureaucratic and institutional jobs, to which I greatly agree. I believe that this element is the strength of health care practitioners which can further be supported by offering many different healthcare positions over time. Furthermore, after a detailed review of the observations and statements of Dr. Gebbie over the concern of public health, it can be stated that the public health system thinking is essential on ground of modern adaptations and research findings of health care industry. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the essentials and challenges of public health. I believe that rather than engaging in an effort to attain numerous degrees and extensive diplomas to attain proficiency, it is practical to master one craft. However, the appropriate training of subordinates to transform the professional culture with the approach of path- goal theory is essential to incubate and synthesize modern practices and multi-disciplinary approach into practice.
Bryan Murphy:
Primarily the variety of apprehensions with a diverse nature witnessed in a different location is the major challenge of the field of health care. Thus, to cope with the challenge regular research and evidence based approaches are practiced in the domain. Therefore, it means regular and rapid change with expanding the scope in different fields. So, for an ordinary individual it is not possible to master over the vast knowledge base along with the acquisition of more than one degree. In fact, such an effort will increase the stress level and the burnout ratio of the practitioners. Likewise, the outlook of the profession will be fair enough to dodge the young aspires of the profession. Precisely, every practitioner does not have the caliber to master proficiently in more than one craft. However, holding different health care positions could necessarily assist the grooming of subordinates to handle different situation. Any how, the austere leadership to lead the subordinates is an essential requisite to instill required impact on the field of health care.
