Response to Amanda:
While most people around the globe pretend to be blind regarding the cases of child prostitution and their reasons, this problem becomes more and more serious. I agree with Amanda and want to say that the excessive attraction of people’s attention to the problem of child prostitution can help in fighting with the impairment’s of children’s rights, as people may become more concerned about the issue and report suspicious cases to the law enforcement. For the population, as well as for a jury, it is important to understand that child prostitutes are mostly deprived of their rights, and while the adult prostitution is mostly the case of the personal choice, lost and influential children become deceived by adults who want to make money out of them and their bodies. As the result, such children will not have another destiny but drugs, further prostitution, and jail and will not be able to get an education, careers, and own families. Isn’t it sad?
Response to Kayla:
I share the opinion of Kayla; indeed, the main reasons for child prostitution lie in the deeds and actions of adults. Child prostitution appears when adults find children from troubled families and deceive them saying that they have no other choice as selling themselves. In such cases, a child is not a criminal; he or she is a victim misguided and forced to do prostitution by the real criminals – adults. Save the Children is not the only organization that deals with the issue of child prostitution; one should also note ECPAT that aims to eliminate the children’s sexual elimination around the world and Humanium, the organization that defends children’s rights in general. It is important to understand that such children are often under-aged and even are under the age of consent; being runaways, they cannot find legal jobs and cannot provide for them, become lost, and can easily get under the influence of strangers. It is important to understand who is really guilty.
