The Declaration by Thomas Hobbes is a document that contains the speech made by an American president in the early 1776 to declare the autonomy of the newly created United States of America after a very long struggle by the Americans founding fathers to move away from the domineering British rulers.
This document mainly talks about the reasons as to why the US parliamentary wing, the congress saw it good to seek independence from the Great Britain’s colonial rule. It came after a time when there were widespread revolutionary struggles against the British. The main them in this document is revolution or change.
The United States of America’s constitution on the other hand is a document that contains the supreme laws governing the American people. It is apolitical document just like ‘the Declaration’ as it deals with political responsibilities of the American political system. This document identifies the three arms of the government and illustrates the functions and duties of each of these arms. It also specifies the role of the state plus that of the people thereby making the U.S.A a federal state. The adoption of the American constitution in 1787 was as a result of revolution that led to amendments and suggestions of making the United States nation a country of the people ruled by the people themselves.
Federalist 10 is also another document in the American history that depicts revolution in the US political domain. It is a document that was concerned with the amendment of the American state’s constitution. The theme of history and development is also tackled in this document as it shows the historic attempts by the American revolutionist to come up with a constitution that favored the majority of the American population as opposed to the British made laws which only safeguarded the interest of the few members in the society.
All these three documents deal with the theme of revolution in which the American population struggles to move away from the historic rules of their British conquerors. They mark changes in the American history based on the political systems in the nation.
