Introduction
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a system that track and record organization's assets and inventory automatically. Although, designing a system that is able to track and record merchandise excluding unwanted ones in a hurriedly moving environment pose quite a challenge RF pads and curtain help easily that. In order to design a system that is both effective and efficient in collecting RFID signal data, MWT materials designed and introduced RF pads and curtains to minimize incorrect data collection as well as avoid installing a RFID tracking device. These curtains and pads increase the reader ability of Electronic Product Code Gen 2 (EPC Gen 2) Ultra high frequency (UHF) which works on a frequency of 860MHz-960MHz set frequency by EPC global a governing body which manages the regulation of this frequency. A RFID portal is a system designed to monitor movements of products to from an organization ensuring they are in a right order (Swedberg, 2015).
Benefits of RFID system
The navy and department of defense use RF pads and curtains to help absorb RF Signal and avoid detection behind enemy lines. In addition, RF pads and sheets are also used in the medical field in a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine using electromagnetic waves to scan human body anatomy as well as cell structure for diseases and malignant growth for apt imaging. RF merchandises block radar are said can also function to regulate transmission from RFID readers for correct and accurate reading (Swedberg, 2015). RF pad ensures that RFID functions effectively and efficiently because there is no mixed signal transmitted from other products that are not in need at a particular time.
How RFID Function
RFID system uses a tag identifier, which contains a unique bar code specific to a product and a RFID tag sensor, which detects a signal emitted from a tag identifier and sends it to a server containing information describing the location of the product, which then relays information for the transit of a product. RF pads and curtains ensure that various products movement and locations are in order in a hurriedly moving environment, which might pose a challenge. Take, for example, the luggage conveyor belt in a busy airport or stores (Swedberg 2015). RF absorbing tag pad introduced recently By MWT material attached and wrapped around a tag ensure signal transmitted from a product is accurately and correctly read thus creating a system of free flow of products as well as a faster movement of products (Swedberg 2015).
RF pads and curtain ensure the RFID system to be a ubiquitous computing system. For example, take in a fish processing industries where massive amounts of data require a recording to ensure a proper storage and minimize stale fish is important and ubiquitous. This enables the factory to have correct information and catalog products based on the current information minimizing loss and maximizing profit for the organization (Swedberg 2015).
RFID system is ambient computing system. After the introduction of RF pads and curtain, the system became all-inclusive because data from products in a rapidly moving environment became easy to monitor with the RF pads and curtains ensuring records of signals from wanted product or a specified regions monitored (Swedberg 2015). RFID is a persuasive computing system since it is able to record all accurate data from a product instantly, which can be time-consuming. It also contains a server that relays all the information that a product contains monitoring its movement as lifespan (Swedberg 2015).
