Overall, the group has evaluated the curriculum as exemplary in terms of the first criterion which is the format. It was able to provide clearly stated definitions of the activities and elements used in the general curriculum. In this light, the curriculum is deemed student-friendly because of its ability to engage student participation and to keep their interest in the topic high. Second, the group rated the learning goals and objectives as competent. The group did not give it an exemplary because we find that there are still some areas for improvement in terms of laying out learning objectives and goals especially in making sure that all objectives are stated. However, the group does recognize that the curriculum did a good job in stating the intention of each session. The third criterion which the group assessed was the content which intended to measure the relevancy of the curriculum t to the students. We rated the curriculum with exemplary because of the logical arrangement of the contents. The content of the curriculum is also related and relatively important for the familiarity in the main topic which is photography.
` In addition, the group also rated the curriculum exemplary in two other criteria namely in teaching strategies and suggested learning tasks. We find that the strategies and methods introduced in the curriculum helped in the better understanding of the topic. The curriculum was able to engage students into practical exposure towards photography. However, the main area of concern for the curriculum is its assessment tools. The group rated it with a low score because we felt that there is a lack of definition in terms of assessing the core unit. In conclusion, the curriculum received a high mark from the group because of its ability to achieve its main purpose which is to introduce photography to students.
