Management systems are basically defined as the frameworks that are designed to manage the policies and procedures of an organization in order to promote a continual improvement in the business functions.
The safety of the employees at the workplace is one of the most important tasks of every organization. In order to keep the safety of the workforce, a safety management system can be implemented. The implementation of such system is important in order to ensure that every precaution has been taken to reduce the happening of any incident before performing a task in the workplace.

It helps the organizations in recognizing the potential hazards before the occurrence of an incident. It helps the management and the employees with the knowledge and tools that are needed to prevent injuries in the workplace. According to OSHA, the employers have the responsibility to provide a safe place for the employees. The Occupational Safety and Health act grant OSHA the authority to issue workplace safety regulations. OSHA-10 provides the training that is mandatory for an individual before working on a construction site.
The private sector employers, the federal government agencies can take the benefits of OSHA training and consulting programs in order to avoid workplace injuries.
