Instructional videos come out clearly, when one uses 3-D objects that show the real shape of the given object. The project will highlight 3-D video on the way to clean a fridge. The main aim is to create a 3-D animation that shows all the processes involved when cleaning a fridge. The project aims at explaining all relevant processes that are essential to the successful cleaning of a fridge. The video will contain a three dimensional structure of a fridge. The fridge will be placed in a setting that resembles living room. However, it is essential to note that the living room will empty with no other object except the fridge. The video will be guided supported by systematic voice explanations to make it easy for the audience to understand. The voice should match with action being explained. Each process will be explained and animated in the video simultaneously.
The project will require a number of skills that I have learnt in this course. First, I would use the skills used in balancing light in 3-D videos. Light will be used to make the fridge the focus of the viewer. Therefore, lighting skills should be used well to ensure no hitches develop. Second, I would use the skills I learnt in using strata and Maya to create three-dimensional animations. The process of creating edge animate in the video is yet another skill that would come in handy in this project. In reality, most of the skills required to complete the project are part of what I learnt in class. The projects that I have already done in class equipped me with skills on how to manage group work, which will be essential for the success of this project. Furthermore, I have learnt how to add music files and sounds in a video in the previous projects I did in class.
The aim is to incorporate the various principles that guide instruction in this video project. The first principle is to ensure that the instructions guide the attention of the viewer to the object, which should be the center of attention. The project will incorporate principles like optimized scheduling, personalization and feature focusing. These principles of research will be used to motivate the viewers and make sense of the complete instructional video. Optimized scheduling and feature focusing will help the instructional video to obtain fluency. Fluency makes it easy to understand the instructional video. The project will require research on the best and easy methods required when cleaning a fridge. The organization of the project will be detailed based on the amount of the information that the research yields.
In the end, the whole project will be evaluated to determine its effectiveness. First, the video will be evaluated to determine if the animated images were clear for all viewers. Secondly, the video will be evaluated to determine if the voice explanation was clear enough for the targeted audience to understand. The combination of the background voice and animated images should be smooth and fully synchronized. The project will also be evaluated based on the use of instructional principles like optimized scheduling. These principles help in creating an instructional video that is easy to understand. The whole project will be evaluated based on its ability to meet the specified objectives.
