There are many contributing factors to the challenge of obesity which may include poor eating habits and lack of enough exercise to the children.
There are different studies showing the leading causes of obesity to children, especially in our community. It is instrumental to use the finding and the results of those researches to come up with a solution for obesity in the society. In other words, the community plan will involve encouraging the parents to follow the recommendations of various recommendations relating to control of obesity.
Some of the negative impacts the parents will be made aware of including the relationship between the obesity and chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and heart diseases not forgetting blood pressure.
The next part of the plan will be detailing to the community about the causes of obesity. The causes that will be given priority include how your body uses energy and generic conditions.
The measurement for the children with obesity will be the body index mass
The last and the main important part of the community activity will entail explaining to the community different control measures of condition.
The method will include, longer breastfeeding period to the infants, as the longer you breastfeed, the lower the chances of having obesity. It will also aim at encouraging the families to indulge in work and exercise at the same time changing eating habits. It would also be wise to control the diet of the children and to practice some activities like withholding food to the children and encouraging fruits to children.
There are different activities that the community offers to reduce obesity. They promise to change the eating habits that include the amount of the food taken and the type of food primarily increasing fruits. The other things are making sure that the children who have the obesity are put in regular exercise to reduce the BMI. Finally, the other activity the community is undertaking to reduce obesity to attending as many programs creating awareness about obesity to learn more to reduce.
