How does geography play a role in this international issue?
Geography from time immemorial has been important for examining international issues, like, for instance, the war in the Russian civil war that led to the soviets conquering Central Asia again in 1920s. Geographical distribution of different cultures and religion groups is what play a key role. Central Asia due to its locality has both positive and negative implication in international issues. Its proximity to Eurasian Great powers, make the region vulnerable to attack and also important in connecting Europe and Far East, this has made major world power to strive to dominate the region. The tendency had been witness through history when Russians attacked Afghanistan, and of the when, America conquered Kabul.
How does each article amplify or relate to the readings for the class?
The article elaborates how geographic perspectives discussed in class practically affect and effects people's lives and international agendas across central Asia. The article further explain how both physical aspect of geography and human organization plays a significant role in international issues of concern as it happened during the soviet-afghan war. Geography is also highlighted as a major player in political dynamics.
How does each article relate to the overall traditions and topics examined in geography?
The article deeply analyses how geographical factors have annexed cultures and traditions to display the current Central Asia that we know. War, location and distance of countries (geopolitics) from each other were also critical areas while understanding geography of central Asia. The article discussed all these important areas in depth.
How does each article relate to you as an individual and as a citizen of the global community?
The article factor my citizenship in one aspect. My locality is important and can affect major occurrence in the world, just like one citizen of Afghanistan killed by a Taliban insurgent can lead to a full-scale war waged by major world powers.

Just like philosophers Hippocrates, Aristotle and Hecate, geographical status of a community or an individual play a vital role in determining levels of civilization, religion and political culture. What maps or graphics are used in the article?
