Impacts of Digital Revolution
Digital revolution is causing changes in the landscape of marketing on the basis of how consumers get to know of the products and services they need. The social media websites such as Facebook, Instagram among others have helped come up with a community of similar people sharing a common interest, ideas, needs and experiences. These technologies have ensured easier interaction between the marketers and the consumers. This is because of the smartphones and other mediums of communication which enhance conversation and negotiation about the product or service.
Integrated marketing communication has helped the marketers deliver a consistent message to many consumers through radios, television and even the magazines. This consistent advertisement of the product has also ensured that such a product sticks in the mind of the consumers.
Technological developments and their impacts on IMC programs on companies
Social media -Through social media advertisers have found a way of identifying a gap in the market and also follow up on the consumers’ feedback. It gives the marketers an opportunity to also contribute, and answer questions asked by the consumers.
Search engine optimization-This method has been used by most advertisers to make sure that the consumers using the web to search for a product can easily access it. This has helped the advertiser to be on the lead and the consumer gets an easier process of searching. This results in satisfaction for each person.
Interest based Advertising-It is also known as behavioral targeting. It enables the marketers to be more persuasive since this development ensures that the marketers come up with relevant and valuable adverts. This method also ensures a direct communication between the consumers and marketers where the marketers have to inform the consumers on data collection.

I agree that the digital revolution has helped marketers come out of the limits of the traditional methods of communication and advertisements such as radios and magazines. Social media has given them a wide variety of ways such as Facebook, twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn among others. As a result, companies have been able to target many consumers. Emails has also eased communication especially when marketers send emails to different clients and potential clients regarding the existing products in the market. Companies are able to meet their target groups. Consumers who have smartphones have had an easier time contacting the marketers either through calls, text messages or even through emails. I also agree that smartphones have increased the marketing efforts of a company since they provide a flow of information between the marketers and the consumers.

I support the idea that the integrated marketing communication has made ads easier where companies use televisions for example to make advertisements. Television makes it a must for everyone who owns it so see the ad. The internet too has been a common way since nearly everyone owns a computer or a smartphone. Stumbling on an advert on a particular product or service might stir some interests in the consumers. It is this interest that results into the consumers purchasing those products.
In conclusion, the digital revolution has been of great importance to the marketers. This is because it has brought great technological advancements thus boosting communication between them and the consumers.
