Dear Ms. Leeks
I would like to make a refund claim for the fresh produce order made on May 9, 2017, and delivered on May 15, 2017. On the said date, Harvest Grill placed an order of fresh produce from your company, Agri-Growers Limited. This shipment included 40 lbs of zucchini at 35 dollars per 20 lb, 20 pumpkins at 3.5 dollars per head, and 60 lbs of potatoes at 20 dollars per 20 lb. Also, there were 15 lbs parsnips at 3 dollars per 1 lb, 50 lbs of onions for 37 dollars per 25 lb, and 4 lbs of lettuce for 11 dollars per 1 lb. Other items on the list included 9 lbs of carrot for 5 dollars per lb, 20 heads of cabbage for 3 dollars per head, and three cases of broccoli for 28 dollars per case of 12. Finally, the last group comprised of 5 lbs of red beet for 2 dollars per 1 lb, 2lbs of green beetroot for 9 dollars per 1 lb, and 20 lbs of soybean 4 dollars per 1 lb. This order was worth 680 dollars with the delivery set on May 15. Please find attached copies of the purchase receipt and invoice as reference and evidence to this transaction.
The reason for this claim is that while the shipment arrived on time as scheduled, most of the items were unusable on arrival. For instance, most of the carrots and beet had gone rubbery soft, the zucchini shriveled, lettuce and broccoli limp, potatoes rotten, and small size pumpkins and cabbages. This order does not suit the requirements of the wedding Harvest Grill is preparing to host on May 18, 2017. Thus, the company has had to make a replacement order from the Atlantic Superstore instead. I believe that it would be costly for Harvest Grill to make this alternative order without claiming the refund. Also, based on the tight schedule, it would be unreasonable for Harvest Grill to settle a re-order without compromising this special event.
Despite this misfortune, note that Harvest Grill still respects Agri-Growers Limited as a renowned fresh food supplier within the Nova Scotia area and its environs. Based on the company website, Agri-Growers commits to constantly satisfying the customers’ requirements by offering, among others, an array of quality produce. Furthermore, the company weighs this quality of production based on produce attractiveness, convenience, and timeliness of product delivery. Such a mission and marketing strategy works as the most vital technique within Agri-Growers’ possession. With such sentiments in mind, I believe that Harvest Grill has a right to request a refund for any shipment that does not meet any of these specifications. That said, Harvest Grill would like to return the entire merchandise to your outlet for a full refund of the order costs.
Would you please respond to this email within 24 hours or as soon as you can to establish a suitable date and time that can allow a seamless produce return and refund-collection exercise. I will be available via phone number (902) 555-2424 or the email provided during Harvest Grill’s business hours. I look forward to your response, as noted, for further discussions on this issue for future quality service delivery.
Signed
