Nursing studies is a profession that seems to be dynamic and more rewarding. Nursing studies have a variety of careers and opportunities that when committed increase lifelong studies and learning programs. Perhaps this has been the reason most of the students have attempted to increase their studies to higher levels. Studies from professional researchers have indicated that students who are studying nursing in different colleges have had the urge to increase their studies mostly to Doctoral or Masters Levels. Some prefer studying personal satisfaction or pursue a higher degree in other courses that are in the nursing field to attain more skills such as clinical and efficiently provide life-sustaining services. Higher studies such as Doctoral or Masters Levels require one to have milestones such as undertaking advanced studies in passing NCLEX examinations and some GRE tests (Ort & Putt, 1985).
Bureau of health and work force, Division of Nursing affirms that GRE tests give power to learners in identifying their confidence levels. If one does not pass the GRE tests he or is required to retake it, there are a variety of GRE tests ranging from online and regulars. These GRE Tests will examine the ability of reasoning and analytical writing. In reasoning, it tests both quantitative and qualitative. GRE tests are, and GPAs reviewed in every 21 days and five times in a year add to more confidence. When one intends to undertake online tests, he or she needs to make sure the scores, his or her scores are reported within the time to avoid deadlines. GRE tests have both regular and late deadlines (Nash, 2000).
I prefer having my studies in NYU College of nursing where they offer several programs that are crucial as well as responding global service demands. GRE in NYU College have regular and online deadlines. For example 11th August, 18th October and 7th February. Online ones are 19th September, 9th February and 9th January. NYU College trains both verbal and analytical writing to its students. Verbal reasoning of score, of 130-170 in NYU gain one-point entry to GRE. Quantitative reasoning of score 130-170 and analytical writing of 1-6 also gain a score. NYU gives scholarships to students having higher scores. Therefore, confident nursing students will have an opportunity to increase their studies. These scholarships advance learning to nursing students. For one to get such a scholarships, he or she has to have a higher GPA. I personally prefer this University because of higher confidence and desire to study.
