The title has many references in its natural context. This means that it has a lot of cliché’s to it. The soliloquy therefore depends on a specific decipher. In this context, it is the opening line. Gibson’s hamlet is one of the best because he places less emphasis on the opening line. This allows people to focus more on the power and gravity of the soliloquy. People have the feeling of understanding the soliloquy in a better manner. The reader feels like an actor reading the script rather than a man having thoughts to him. It is easier to pay attention to Mel Gibson because people are already aware of the fact that he is an actor. This helps him deliver some of the best performances. Most people have a problem with the other actors because they are unfamiliar to the actors. Gibson does an amazing job at capturing the emotions of hamlet. The speech that he makes is very believable and memorable (Gabriel 100). The emotion that he shows makes his performance stand out among the rest. Most people are able to relate to him because he is an actor. He also performs a speech that attracts attention from the public in various ways.
The second best performance is Kenneth’s hamlet. This version has the highest impact. The actor looks into his own eyes while looking for the answer to his questions. He focuses on his own reflection on the mirror. He makes it possible for the audience to imagine the thoughts going on his mind. There is a certain power in the way that he presents himself. He created a powerful appearance by his actions of looking at himself in the mirror while he spoke. He had the ability to create a tense body language. He kept the scene interesting by ensuring that he maintained a tense body language throughout the entire performance. Many people agree that this was the best speech because of the amount of intensity that he sets during the performance (Hibbard72).
The way that they filmed this specific work is very specific which makes his performance interesting. The whole scene came together in a proper way. He makes his performance outstanding using mirrors in his performance. While on the mirror there are people eaves dropping. This brings out the notion that there are people constantly watching hamlet. However, despite this, hamlet remains very much in tune with himself (Crystal 102). The soliloquy displayed helps the audience understand his most personal feelings and the dilemmas that they face. He uses this setting to help the audience understand the various dramatic issues that he undergoes in his life.
The third best performance is Laurence Oliver’s performance. His performance has a lot of emotion and power. This makes his performance stand out from the rest of the performances. The amount of power and emotion that he includes in his performance makes his performance interesting and the most captivating among all the performances. There is a close tie between Oliver and Kenneth because they all seem like very gifted actors. Oliver however stands out in that he has a unique performance. He brings out an outstanding performance while other actors bring out outstanding directing in their acts. He creates a great performance on the famous speech and comes out in a very convincing manner.
