Introduction
Stakeholders are actors that have vested interests in a particular policy that is being implemented. A stakeholder analysis is a process of systematically collecting and evaluating information to establish whose interests should be considered when developing or implementing particular policies or actions (Shore, 2011). In this case, some of the stakeholders include patients, Canadian Cancer Society, and Registered Nurses ‘Association of Ontario.
Issue
Cancer is a serious condition that affects many individuals in contemporary societies. In the case of Cancer Care Ontario, the organization intends to roll out a new clinical protocol that will play a crucial role in cancer management in Ontario. Even though there are numerous other protocols that patients, as well as medical personnel, use to manage cancer, they are not effective; therefore, new approaches are welcome. The new approach is effective but expensive. Therefore, stakeholders within the medical field need to come together to deliberate and identify some of the strategies that they can employ to ensure that the protocols become accessible to inhabitants of Ontario at affordable rates.
