The ability to maximize production of any organization remains the most important role of any leader. However, managing employees during times of transition and with disruptions is a significant challenge. Most of the people are affected by uncertainties, but companies remain in transition all the time. To manage the expectations of employees at such moment we need to follow the following guidelines:
Ensure clarity of issues: leaders embrace change when an organization takes the time to clarify matters in discussion. The management needs to handle the “what if “scenarios that arises. Clarity ensures leaders are ready and able to lead their teams to transition effectively.
Embrace diversity of thought: a leader needs to be trained to work in close collaboration with others through cultivating a treasure hunt for ideas and ideals. This will ensure partnerships that will be able to deal with the different eventualities.
Strengthen your echo system: this is only possible if the leaders have clarity about the change they are implementing. When the ecosystem is built the team of leaders can now be able to spread it among the other teams they head.
Creating a competitive advantage. Teams should be able to create ecosystems that have complete distinctions from other teams in the organization. The team leader should leverage on the clarity provided, collaboration and the abilities to strengthen their ecosystems to be pace setters for other departments.
Encourage critical and strategic thinking. Team leaders need to encourage members to think more critical on ways of continued improvements through seeing opportunities in everything expecting anything, passionately pursuing success and encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit.
Question 2
The government will require a clear understanding of the new economy before it can be rolled out. The intended objectives to be achieved will need to be clearly stated and communicated to the implementation teams. To win the government officials support and involvement, there is need to keep them informed of all happenings. Involving them may also include making clarifications on all issues that arise in the implementation process. This way the official will feel motivated towards achieving the new objectives of the government. The government employees work on the implementation process passionately.
More Teams will need to be set up to educate the citizen on the importance of the new economy. This is encouraged to ensure collaborations and promote critical and strategic thinking. The implementation teams will benefit from the diversity of thought by the different team members on the best practices. The various groups should then be allowed to work as mini organizations. This autonomy gives their team leaders leeway to create a friendly ecosystem that can provide a competitive advantage. In return the teams will be able to increase their output in the delivery of the intended services.
